Minmatar ship design style

I've been really excited to see CCP taking the tired boxy minmatar hulls and bringing them up to date; the new stabber and tempest hulls are amazing IMO, it seems like a real step in the right direction, even the v3 saw the start of promising things to come...

There is one thing that puzzles me however and that is the Talwar.
If the new updated hulls are the fresh new face of minnie then why does the talwar look more suited to the minnie design ethos of the original release?

Im not knocking the design as such it just seems confusing from the perspective of progress, a "one step forward, two steps back" sort of thing.

What do people think? Are the new stabber/tempest designs a step forward or are the classic boxy talwar shapes the way to go?

I would not say it is entirely of the old design but it is blocky and that is okay. A race doesn't just have one shipyard and design style but a bunch of different companies with their own unique flair.

Sure there should be a similarity to the design styles but they should follow different patterns and be unique. Some of them sleeker, some of them heavier, some technical and some of them like the Tornado should draw cues from other races.

Look at the Cyclone and the Hurricane, completely different but both loved and both very Minmatar. I wouldn't call it a step backwards, just a fork in the road to two different but interesting places.

Talwar looks like ****. Algos and corax are great. The dragoon is meh for a normal ship, but bad for a amarr ship.
