Why does Factional Warfare and Nullsec need to be fixed?

I've just started playing and I haven't experienced any of the Faction Warfare yet.

After reading the letter from the CEO, I was wondering, why does Factional Warfare need to be fixed, what's wrong about it?

And also, why does Nullsec space needs to be fixed?

Thanks.

Good day:

See the bottom of http://www.factionalwarfare.info/812/minmatar-faction-warfare-getting-to-know-player-run-corporations/ for what some Minmatar CEO's / Directors think need to be fixed.

Thank you.

has some other remarks, some of them dated (you no longer get a standing hit from letting a FW mission expire).

In brief: the core mechanic of FW is completely meaningless, and DT is horrifyingly significant when you do try to care about the meaningless mechanic.

The 'new player experience' could be improved. Advanced Military funnels people into it (and then right to the 'Retire' button in the milita window) without answering the important questions: how do I survive in lowsec? (Lowsec is such a safe environment if you aren't clueless.) What did I just join? How do I make money to pay for all these ships I'm losing?
