I can see what is being said here.

Take 3 ships, Criminal (-5), Friend (of the logi) and Logi.

If the friend attacks the criminal, it starts a limited engagement. No sec hit for Friend.

If the logi then reps Friend, Logi gets suspect flag for intruding on a limited engagement, even though Logi can shoot Criminal legally.

It oughtta be "if you can shoot them, you can assist their opponent freely." In the same way "if you can shoot them, you can steal from them freely".

Support OP.

Thank you for actually explaining this in an understandable way. I was trying to figure out what the hell the OP was talking about and I couldn't figure it out. I agree.

do you have to be out of corp or out of alliance to get the flag?

I was wondering that too.

But yesterday I realized that this mechanics (which effectively puts OOC logi in a position worse than in-corp logi once used) is there to actually encourage those toons to commit to damn war by formally joining their corp instead of dancing between CONCORD legality walls.

Couldn't the logi just copy the flags from the ship he's repping?

If the ship being repped has a weapons flag, the logi gets a weapons flag.

If the ship being repped has a suspect flag, the logi gets a suspect flag.

If the ship being repped has a limited engagement flag, the logi gets a limited engagement flag.

Of course, if the logi already had more severe flags, he would retain them.

Problem with this?
