In response to CSM trying to steal hype..

First of all, it was a nice read coming from Hilmar.
The 2nd thing: don`t let yourself stolen by emotions. It was a fabricated response made by ppl that know what they are doing (image advisers).

It is an image campaign. This evolved naturally from ppl unsubbing.
If you read this topic, I want you to understand this fact:
EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS NOW COMES FROM THE REDUCTION OF SUBSCRIPTIONS. NOTHING MORE.

Now it comes to the most important fact: The single role that CSM had in this debacle was to minimize the rage that went through the community.
This is why it sickens me to my core to see several CSM members trying to steal the hype that surrounds the latest CCP activity.

Don`t understand me wrong, I believe most of CSM members did what they should with transmitting our issues to CCP.

But, when you see these quotes...

"Your welcome, EVE Online community.

(white tree for csm 7)"

"CSM6 was working behind the scenes"

"CSM7 Re-election."

These are only quotes from one of the CSM members that came in hand (most recent). There are more...

Now, facts.

1. They haven`t prevented this happening in anyway. (They may have the excuse they weren`t informed)

2. If 1 is correct, NONE of the CSM resigned due to the fact that they were useless in their chairs. (although I have a vague feeling someone resigned. don`t remember accurate)

3. The community has the whole merit. Moreover the ppl that unsubbed. The thousands of replies on these forums, the so called bittervets, the ppl that bothered to care, to bash the wrong doing.
IT WASN`T CSM THAT DID THIS. And nonetheless they try to steal what`s rightfully yours EVE community.

tl;dr

One last fact. You, the player, have the power in this game. With your money and interest you CONTROL this game.
NOT CCP, NOT CSM. So, find these worms that try to feed upon your doing and bash them in the upcoming elections. (I am not permitted to give names)

AND ofc, we trust in what you do and not in what you say. So I dare you prove your contributions dear CSM members.

Yes Hilmar's blog was nice to see and the CSM very probably had little to do with that.

Did you read Zulu's Blog? If so did your read the intention of this CSM when they "took office"? If so how can you be so blind to not see they almost line up perfectly. If not your opinion is invalid.

The CSM probably can't take much from back tracking - they can stand up and take a bow for the features in the next expansion/patch.

Don`t think your dear Mittani will have any issues with becoming chairmain of CSM7. He has a lot of sla..goons supporting his back.

So, tell me, how many mass messages did you receive with "don`t forget to vote for me..", "cry me a river if you don`t"etc?
Just give me a call when you understand the reason behind voting, and having a self made opinion, ok?

You are correct. There are no Goons with there own opinions or ideas. The reason they voted for Mittens couldn't have possibly been because he was the best vehicle to convey their preferences into reality. Good work!

You are correct from the standpoint of some of the leaders of the goons. I wouldn`t generalize.
I would also appreciate, that you to understand the hypothetical reason behind the creation of CSM. Else you will play a game that is called goonsEVE. You won`t enjoy that one, trust me.
Less power for goons and more ppl inside EVE is a win win for both sides. For example, you won`t loose too much if ABC stays in whs. (just an opinion)

Thank you for letting me clear some stuff.

But now you are diverting the discussion. The theme here was another.

P.S. This was what I meant with, most of goons don`t have a self made opinion. By thinking that one of them is chairman, they have the illusion that they gain a lot (a smaller community is worse than 100 bil isk). Well, with Mittens in the leading role, EVE went from 40k to 25-30k players online.
He doesn`t have the whole responsibility, but when the ship is sinking, most of the blame falls upon the shoulders of the captain. If you think otherwise, then we must be living in different dimensions.

rofl

Did you seriously just try and pin the mass unsubbing on Mittani being chairman? Meanwhile your fellow sister-in-arms is trying to decry the heroics of the people who unsubbed two threads over.

Yea I noticed this stuff also by myself. Wouldn't had even said anything if didn't see this thread, but as it is here - here goes...

CSM has it's purpose and has filled it's task. However events today should not been used as time or as place for personal campaigns to gain leverage or to get re-elected. It is not appropriate behaviour for the situation.

...but hey - at least now I know who I won't be voting :)

1st step: Read "Just give me a call when you understand the reason behind voting, and having a self made opinion, ok?"
2nd step. if 1st step is completed read my post again
3rd step. if you still have doubts, go to step 1 again. Simple as that ;)

When things fall apart, someone has the blame. CCP has its blame, CSM has its blame (its chairman also) If you can`t understand that, than you don`t understand this world at all.

P.S. My fellow sister-in-arms??

Its not CSM, its the numbers dropping and the cynicism of the vets leading to the clear loss of core players. The sad thing is, after so many years, only the newer players buy the sentimental start to a massive justification (this is why I did it!!) letter - wait and see - its mantra and CCP has yet to finish a single project (other then t2) completely yet. Credit rating is a bit low right now, but I am open.

Can argue these things in threads with specific names. Wanted to remain clear and organized.

This is a thread that supports the community`s effort and everything else that I stated above. I do understand other mechanics ofc, but want to keep the discussion clear from other allegations.

After all, this is from evelopedia - the time has come to empower players with a formal communications channel to directly impact the development of their society; -greatest good for the greater player base-

Don`t think anyone argues with that. I fully support the idea that CSM has its contribution.

But there are other problems that are addressed and need to be looked at.

Who is HONESTLY, REALLY suprised at the CSM trying to get on this like they were the ones solely responsible for this stuff?

Ill help, it was originally formed to go to Iceland to make sure CCP wasnt pulling another T20.
It was an impossible reason, but there it was
It was a group born out a time when CCP was caught cheating in their own game.
