OP, you stated you are running missions.
If you are looting them, there you are with a fine selection of items, so for starters, simply check each of them for their margin and their quantity in your region.

Granted, it´s tedious and limited, but it IS a way to start if you are completely clueless.

Just be aware that not everyone enjoys this kind of gameplay, especially as the people will seldom be more specific that "buy low sell high", so you will have to figure out most on your own.

attempted to post the link 3-4 times but the forums are of course not working.

All the information inside this guide would be old hat to most people, but it helped me just get started and to be completely honest - its the kind of **** i should have investigated myself before starting to trade. In the end if you simply do the homework yourself you may find yourself one of those wonderful products that you yourself will never tell another soul about, but to get the basics and an exellent list of commonly traded products.

If you do however ask where to start trading to and from specifically you may be a little beyond hope though.. i managed to find a very profitable hub in about 20 minutes.

One thing I've learned in my month or so of playing the market is to also ideally have products you can sell at both ends of your trade route i.e. something to sell at both your purchasing hub and destination. That way when you're on your way back it's not with an empty profitless cargohold.
