I too know the secret, all you have to do is send me an isk donation of 100million isk and I will share with you the secrets of being unbountifull.

didn't that happen when they changed the FW and then had to change it because people found a way to exploit the fact that you could shoot a alt in a pretty expensive but useless fitted ship

Something like that, i just thought it was fixed long ago.

You can't exploit it like that anyway, because this does not generate ISK, it has to come from other players. The FW exploit made a craaaaaazy ISK faucet.

No, it was an isk sink. Blink

People keep saying this but either they or I have failed economics 101 as I don't understand how that worked. From my understanding:

I fit an FW alt in a ship that's worth a massively inflated value - no change in overall isk in the economy
I blow my alt up with my main who is in an opposing FW corp - isk is destroyed here
I get paid an amount of LP - no change in overall isk in the economy
I wait for a T5 cashout and buy items with my LP - isk is destroyed here since the items cost some isk as well as LP
I sell the items I got for my LP to another player - no change in overall isk in the economy

Where exactly is this faucet? It looks like a sink to me.

How is ISK destroyed when you blow up your alt? Isn't the ship and items the only things destroyed? That creates ISK because of insurance and only removes material from the game.

This is correct, though the isk created through insurance is less than the isk lost to the lp store so overall it is a sink (unless you bought no lp store items that require isk).

Looking back at this, I see I am mistaken. Comment withdrawn

It remains to be seen. We cleared our bounty before I could test the theory out. Basic loot drops like a "faint" item that EvE says is worth 205k and has a ton on the market for less than 10k, hold full of those I wonder what the payout would reflect....

There are quite a few loot meta 3's and 4's like this. I don't know how CCP could get around that, because if they could, the value it shows in the hold would be a lot closer to what is actually market price:)

Guess I'll have to wait until our resident hater re-bounties us again tomorrow and then see :D

You guys think you're being cute, but have you tried to set the "Auto-reject all invitations" setting and tried a bounty? I mean, CCP isn't known for checking their code thoroughly, and their QA is often non-existent. It's amazing what they miss.

I do try to keep my clients posted via our Sell Orders thread regarding destruction of their targets. I offer the service so people can avoid retaliatory bounties and hate mail (which some actually don't like, contrary to the typical tear farmer). I also work on advancing the bounty hunting profession, and I direct the hunters I meet towards my clients' targets, of course.
