You have Galaxy and Jenn and Tippia all posting in one thread. Congrats!

Let us all continue to ignore the anti-social sociopaths. The bounties aren't going to change anything worth noting for the great majority of people who play Eve.

The crazies are just latching onto it because it makes them feel important. Stop letting them feel like they matter and they'll show up so the rest of us can get back to playing Eve and not listening to their PvP drivel.

For the record I know Eve is about PvP in many ways. I just reject the idea that PvP is something that has to be shoved down everyone's collective throats like a great deal of these types.

We don't have to demonize them, it's just the traditionally effective way to rally masses to your side. Why would I need a justification for slaughtering carebears? It's my solemn duty. It's not my fault they dumped all their skill points into carebear stuff and none into their own defense.

Yes sounds very similar to the reasoning used to club baby seals.

But we need there skins
Its not our fault they cant fight back.

blah blah blah.

Stop cowarding up the place.

You kill defenseless characters because you don't have what it takes to fight things that attack back.

You do it in Hi-sec so you are protected from other peoples attacks. You are weaker and more pathetic than the miners at least they have the balls to sit in space without guns.

Grow a pair and go fight people who can fight you back.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

It's kind of hard to ignore them when they keep coming to the forums and demanding restrictions on other people's gameplay just because they want EVE to be a single-player game.

Glad you agree with his statement

so "The crazies are just latching onto it because it makes them feel important. Stop letting them feel like they matter and they'll show up so the rest of us can get back to playing Eve and not listening to their PvP drivel. "

I agree completely Tippia, PvP is just drivel. Well the hi-sec suicide (oh I am to scared to do real pvp) gankers.

Too bad that I wasn't agreeing with him (too bad for you, that is, since it exposes yet another failed red herring on your part).

I agree completely Tippia, the game is PvP-centric and the vast majority of the players enjoy PvP.
Nice of you to agree with me.

Ok. Will do. Unless, of course, you give me a reason not to by getting rid of your reliance on fallacies.

Perhaps you could use facts to back up arguments rather than subsets of hypotheticals.

That's pretty much all I do, which is why you have to keep using those fallacies in your failed attempts to distract from the reality of the situation.

So you use facts like the fact that 60% of all characters over 5 million SP are in Hi-sec

Oh no you don't you just make a house of cards, balanced on some weird idea that most of Null is actually in Hi-sec.

If that were even close to true, the minerals from Null would not be getting massively over supplied.

Oops you will ignore that bit as it is actually factual. You probably believe that its fairies supplying all the Null ore.

66%, but yes. Facts like that.

No, that weird idea is something you just came up with.

You mean those minerals that are available outside of null? The ones whose “oversupply” (or lack thereof, should it ever happen) is determined in relation to the supply of other minerals in the basket? The ones that are in far less demand that the lower-end minerals, and which therefore don't get consumed to the same extent?

Yeah, no. Those can handily be (and indeed is) over-supplied by even a very small number of null and lowsec miners (and looters), so their supply status doesn't particularly affect any conclusion about the population. But yes, facts like these are indeed helpful for determining the boundaries of any guestimates you'd care to make, but as it happens, we're not talking about such boundary values.

Indeed you are, since you try to argue against well-known and readily available facts.

Unfortunately, while it's nice that you recognise your problems, it doesn't help you to make those facts false.

The definition of care bear is simple.

Someone who does not require life validation via a computer game.

They are people not driven by anger, self doubt and they have no need to make others feel as bad.

Or more simply put, they are the people who are not bullied in the work place, so they have no need to bully others.

Fixed that since you're still confusing me with you.
I don't believe that the facts I provide are false. You're the one doing that (without being able to provide any reason as to why anyone would ever believe in such fantasies).

…which, again, handily explains why you have to rely on a smattering of fallacies instead since the facts don't agree with you and since you cannot come up with anything that puts those facts in doubt.

I live in null, happily drifting in my Manticore. I Don't PvP.

I watch. I lurk. I sneak. I love chaos. I lol when bears rage. Yet, I think...I laugh at what I am?

Why would a bear rage about bounties? Is it not a badge of honor? A sign of depth and commitment?

Embrace the bounty. Love it, nurture it, make it grow.

Meh...

Now that killing you is profitable again, I would like to cordially welcome you back to EVE Online. Unlike that game you were playing in November, EVE is a mulitplayer game in which you are a target. It requires some amount of cunning, situational awareness, and general paranoia. On some level you will feel a bit uneasy when you undock, this is working as intended, and we welcome you back into our ranks as typical, slightly nervous EVE players. Have fun, see you in the belts. ;)

I'd say that was a successful troll. It got a few people worked up.
