The Gallente Tristan the “Fatman” is hovering 1.6 miles blow Moon VII’s surface at the bottom of one of its deepest canyons, Zante Mandel, Blindwolf and Victor Marbles are in the ship’s bridge, Zante is on the navigation console while Blindwolf is closely studying the holographic map emanating from the cube.

The “Fatman” being a ship of Galletian origin has its very own drone control console. As soon as they arrived at the bottom of the canyon Victor launched five Hobgoblin drones which have been specially adapted to be pathfinders, which would search for a clear route through the tunnels, as they were numerous different tunnels leading towards their intended destination Victor and Blindwolf studied the holographic map and chose five tunnels which were most likely to offer a clear passage to the destination and sent a drone to each tunnel.

The drones are fitted with a sphere at the front end, each sphere is covered in ten thousand small openings, when the sphere is activated these openings each emit non lethal laser beams, the sphere then rotates at five thousand revolutions per minute, the sphere uses the lasers to measure the width and height of the tunnels which its trying to map a lot of data is collected including rock composition.

“What is that cube? i have never came across anything like it” asks Zante.
“Its called a cartographica optical cube, you may not have came across it because it was developed by the Minmatar just before the day of darkness came about, it was designed primarily as a way of exploring the insides of moons and super massive asteroids for minerals, but it never saw massive production due to the the invasion of the Amarr, as a result very few were in operational order at the time, and fewer still exists today, most of them in cultural museums” says Blind wolf.

“There is one on display in the University of Callie in the Culture Studies department, in the Bourynes Solar system” says Victor.
“What map does that show?” asks Zante.
“It does not show any map, it was donated to the University by the then Minmatar Republic’s Prime Minister Karen Midular” replies Victor.
“Ah, i remember miss Midular very well” says Blindwolf.
“She was a failure, she failed to lead the Minmatar” says Zante.
“No she was a good leader, she did her best, the Matari are not used to having elected leaders, we have existed as tribes for a long time, this concept of democracy was and still is new to us, so given the circumstances she did rather well” says Blindwolf.
“Well i still think-” Zante is interrupted mid speech by Victor who yells in excitement.
“We have it, its not much of it but i think we have a safe way to get there” says Victor.
“Have what?” asks Zante.
“A path we can take to to our intended destination, drones number one and three have both found relatively clear paths, but number three’s route leads through a series of smaller tunnels which are too narrow for the the width and height of the this vessel, so we have to take the slightly longer way there using the route that number one has mapped out” says Victor.
“Can’t we just maybe blaster away some of the rock and make the tunnels bigger instead of taking the longer way?”asks Zante.
“And bring a sizeable chunk of the moon bearing down on us?” replies Victor. Zante chuckles.
“It was a joke Amarrian, looks like some of the things they say are true, Amarrians don’t have a sense of Humour”.
“On the contrary comedy is popular in Amarr, not that i have been there but a few exiled Amarrians who live in the federation are very funny” Victor replies.
“Ok, how funny are they tell me a joke or two” asks Zante. Victor laughs.
“What's an Amarr’s favourite animal [pause] a Minmatar” says Victor. Blindwolf’s eyebrows raise slightly as a silence falls in the bridge.
“Was that, was that a joke” Zante asks. It suddenly dawns on victor that he may have committed a faux pas with his joke, not that he intended to.
“Oh sorry, maybe that was inappropriate, erm well here is another one you might like” says Victor.
“ A Caldarian, a Gallentian and a Matari walk into a bar and order a drink and start to remicient about their respect home. The Caldari brags and says ‘back in my bar in my planet i buy one chest wound and the bar man offers me the second one half price’

‘In my home city i buy one chest wound and the bar man offers me the second one for free’ says the Galletian.

‘thats nothing says the Matar, in my home city you walk into the bar they offer you the first drink for free, the second drink for free and they take you upstairs and give you sex for free’

‘really, has that happened to you?’ asks the Gallentian, ‘well no it happens to my sister all the time’ replies the Matari”.

Blindwolf roars in the laughter at Victor’s joke, Zante normally cordial to Victor also falls into fits of laughter.
“ I have to give it to you Amarrian, that was a good one, i forgive you for the first” says Zante.

After a few minutes the crew of the “Fatman” decide which course to plot in order to get to their intended destination. Zante starts the plasma engines, and slowly flies the ship into a lightless tunnel entrance, he always thought of himself as a talented pilot, manoeuvring through these tunnels would put that to a test far more intense than the Republic’s simulators ever could.
