FYI if you swing a cat around by its tail it will pop off.

Mines just jumps on my lap and watches the pretty lights on the screen all wide eyed :3

Cool cat story? I got one of those.

Some time ago I was living with one of my exes and she owned a cat by the name of Bo (yah; I've no clue either). Great big fluffy half-persian thing with an entirely black coat with nice chocolate undertones visible in bright sunlight. Sort of a maine coon shadow/silhouette almost... lovely beast too, very friendly with an almost deafening purr. Great foot warmer as well on cold winter nights.

Anyway, at the time I smoked on regular basis, and enjoyed the occasional herbal cigarette too, if you understand me.

Bo didn't like cigarette smoke at all and if she was sat anywhere near when I lit up, she'd put up with it for a few mins and then go somewhere less poisonous.

One night I'm sat in me armchair rolling a herbal cigarette and Bo jumps up onto my lap. I finish rolling the spli.... erm... cigarette and I tell the cat "Sorry Bo, you might wanna go somewhere else for a bit", and I spark up.

A few tokes in and not only has the cat not vanished in disgust, she's sniffing the air and purring slightly. "You've got to be kidding me?", I say and as I exhale, the cat is actively moving to get a whiff of the herbal cigarette smoke.

I thought, OK, we'll see where you're going with this and I took another toke and blew the smoke in the general direction of my lap. Bo sat there in a cloud of fragrant herb of some sort (can't remember which one exactly) with that smug cat look and the purring got louder.

I went through the rest of my cigarette, one for me, one for the cat.... one for me, one for the cat. Then we had another one.... and then another one.

Time passes. Thorin doesn't start to sing about gold and there are still no dragons.

Some time later, I'm slumped comfortably in the armchair just relaxing, and the cat is draped across my lap having throttled the purr back to distant road drill level. Eventually she gets down and goes to lie down by the fire.. every step took an age and when she managed to reach her usual lurking spot by the fire, she lies down on one side and there's suddenly a puddle of black fur lying where the cat should be. I don't think I've ever seen anything floppier or more relaxed. The missus and meself are pissing ourselves laughing... admittedly as she didn't like herbal ciggys much I think it was probably me who was finding it funnier for reasons I can't explain if you don't already understand why.

Every time I started to roll a "special" cigarette after that, the cat would magically appear and sit waiting expectantly on my lap.

I know some folk might get their knickers in a twist (or panties up in a bunch for the colonials amongst you) but I wasn't forcing the cat to inhale and she was free to bugger off elsewhere if the mood took her. She didn't, and actively pursued me around the room if I moved to veg on the sofa or somesuch whilst we were sharing a herbal.

Cool isn't in it.
