Retribution Interface Issues

Graet game, but...

(1) The most problematic UI issue with the Retribution upgrade is when mining the Laser inactivation popup notice now pops up to cover the laser icons under the ore. With 6 tech 2 lasers, 3 drones, and 5 max targets I must wait on this popup to time out before I can even begin to decide what is next. I don't quiet understand the motivation of this change but the easy fix would simply be to move the popup notice to the middle of the screen, or give the option to turn it off. It already gives a vocal message.

(2) When leaving a station the Active Ship tab loses focus and buries itself behind the Selected Item tab. In fact all new tabs and windows steal focus on location change regardless of the prior state of that location. This creates some further aggravations.

(3) The Station Services window grabs focus, upon entering a station, and obscures all other windows I am actually there to interact with. Hence before I can even fix the focus issues on the Active Ship tab I must first get the focus back from the Station Services window. Minimizing or moving the Station Services window off screen doesn't help, since it only returns to its original state, with focus, upon reentering a station.

Prior to these changes there was only one thing to remember to keep settings persistant: Close the Inventory window before leaving a station. Now all my choices must be reselected whether entering or leaving a station. This is the direct result of not including the focus state in location parameters defining the window states. Instead a window being created grabs focus irrespective of previous focus state of that location. Same applies to tabbed windows.

Other than improvements, such as Item Hangar folders etc., these are the functional issues I have come across so far.
