So, this is my first post on the first day of joining this game. I've heard a lot about the game and decided to give it a shot, and to help flex my creative muscles I'm going to be trying to make daily posts as a sort of journal for my person. Don't know if anyone will read this or not, but hey, it's something to do.

Today is a new day, I've become a capsuleer, and I have to start pulling my weight for the Republic. Hell, for myself , my family, and the Republic. I signed up with the Republic Military School the first chance I had, it's the best way I know I can start repaying this debt. I am nigh immortal. . . and I can't just waste that opportunity, I have to help those that aren't so fortunate. Me and my family worked hard to get me here, so I'm not going to waste it.

The first day in the school started out with an AI waking me up for instructions. Said her name was Aura, and I don't know why but it seems like a 'she' to me, so I'm going with it. She even said by the end of this I'm going to get my own ship, it's going to take me years to even begin to pay this all off. . . Well, no time like the present, and the AI is starting to glare at me, so better get to work.

So, I got a ship, blew up a fuel depot, fought a handful of pilots, toured the best ships the Republic has to offer, and spoke with my tribe. Last week I thought I had a good life, now I've just been blown out of the waters. I've traveled more of the galaxy in the last few days than I have done in my lifetime, and it. is. awesome. The AI has been a real help, though I was a bit disappointed by her idea of 'reading material' when we were on autopilot.

After a week of training, I'm a fully certified capsuleer. I have my tribal sponsorship on my ship at all times, and I have the entirety of the universe out before me. Life is pretty good right now. Well, I've got a ship, I've got some basic weaponry, and I've got a halfway decent defense. I probably shouldn't be going toe-to-toe with the worst of the galaxy yet. . . so I'm going to explore. See sights only a few people have seen, explore the farthest reaches, yeah, that sounds good.

Sisters of Eve, no idea who they are, but one of their agents helped me learn the basics of exploring the galaxy. I've got to say, the idea of sneaking into an area rich in electronic data, ripe for the taking, sounds pretty appealing. For the Republic, of course. Though the idea of going to ancient ruins, abandoned outposts and finding out what caused the destruction, and finding what they left behind is interesting as well. Maybe I'll specialize later on. . . but right now it seems like a good idea to get a good gun, good shield, and start scouring the things hidden from the galaxy.

Not much to report on, I finished the tasks centered around exploration. Scanning for each individual site is pretty tedious, but the pay off is so worth it. Going to places that few people explore, even a small handful that no one's been to yet. Should satisfy the warriors in my family that every little space I go into will probably be crawling with people eager to defend it and shoot all trespassers.

So, I started digging around about corporations dedicated to helping out the Minmatar Republic. The resounding answer I got from people was a group of people called the Ushra'Khan. After spending some time digging around a bit more, seems like these guys are the real deal, they've been around for ages, and they've stood against the Amarr just as long. Let's just say delivering a firm punch to the Slavers' gut enticed me quite a bit. I was able to grab one of their recruiters and spoke to them, they didn't seem to care too much that I was fresh from the pod. Time for me to get back to the grind.
