Was working great, now it's not.

Running kubuntu 12.04, ATI 5850 (fglrx driver),

Was working great for me all day, then it crashed, and now after a few attempts to log back in, it loads space and crashes immediately.

This is the output of the error wine tosses up, not sure if it's of any use.

I've run the repair tool, cleared the cache, and flip flopped the native, builtin whatnot.

What else should I be looking at to get this working again?

I didn't get a crash, but I got a black screen after login. I changed OffScreenRenderingMode to backbuffer and it worked, but I had half my usual fps. I went to check the settings, just for kicks, and noticed some have changed - as my PC is pretty old, I always have everything at off or low and now post-processing, shadows and interior were at high... Changed those back to off and low, tried changing to fbo and everything works just as it did before, a bit quicker too.. I think.

Maybe this helps?

He has wine 1.5.18 as can be seen from the error log at the bottom.

I don't think that flip flopping from native to builtin or the other way around helps. No dll overrides were needed to play eve online since wine 1.5.?? . Also seeing as you were able to play before, but couldn't anymore after a crash makes me assume overrides still aren't needed.

Try to reboot your machine and see if it runs after a reboot (I know it's a dirty windows fix trick, but I have a rare issue where I'm unable to start eve and only a reboot fixes that issue for me as I haven't been able to determine what 'service' is causing the issue).

Currently I have no further idea's based on your error log.

I just had that problem with the patcher, but i found a work-around: remove all DLL overrides.

Seems to sort the problem!

Also, it's easy to forget, when EVE behaves weird start off with clearing the EVE cache folder (but keep prefs.ini).
