On 12/9/2012 CCP and others will begin rolling footage of various aspects of the EVE universe for their entry to the Museum of Modern Art (as read here: http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=74037). This alone is a triumphant occasion for EVE players everywhere as its something for us to celebrate, but we wouldn't be EVE players if we didn't spice it up a bit.

So what are we going to do? That's easy! We're going to blow each-other up and throw money at each-other, aka what we do best.

On 12/9/2012 a large group of monocled aristocrats with money to blow will start laying out the bounties by watching the killboards (http://eve-kill.net/), every time someone posts a killnote in the specific system, we post a bounty on the killer. The goal is to incentivize the bounty system and begin a chain reaction as players begin massacring each-other both for show and for cash.

But wait, there's more.

We're gathering donations for a core pool that will be split and distributed to two big scorers for the day. This pool will at least contain a PLEX and 50m (my own personal contributions, which may grow larger depending on how well this event goes.) The first half goes to the player who kills the most ships period for the day, and the second half goes to the player who scored the most valuable kill for the day.

So what do we ask of you players?

That's simple, if you're interested go talk about the event, talk to your corps, gather donations, and get interest drumming, we only have until Sunday to get the word out to everyone. Then when Sunday hits, watch the killboards and start tossing bounties up like madmen.

We want this to be big, to represent what EVE is all about.. mindless slaughter and money. So please go repost this around the web, get the information out and try to get the madness started! Let's make this a night to remember!

Update: At the moment we are searching for a location to host it, it seems easier for us to narrow down the event to a region/specific system to facilitate the bloodshed. Specifically one where Killmails are obtainable rather easily. Any suggestions are highly welcome.

Oh its you, the one who said he quit over a 2m bounty.

How is this bullying? Killmails are from pvp conflicts within the game that are posted by the aggressor to brag and as such this event punishes the aggressor, thereby if anything its anti-bullying.

Please take your conflict with the game elsewhere, this is a serious thread looking for actual discussion on the topic at hand, not an outlet for you to vent your frustrations.

Yeah put 5b bounty on the bait so ppl would more likely to focus fire on him Lol

as for low/0.0/wh, alrdy have enough reason letting ppl shoot you, especially you are < -5.

But can't persuade ppl pew more in hs, unless you have a 50b bounty + in a 10b ship?

Yea I can understand that concern, still, will be fun to test out the bounty system and with enough backers, a large bounty may just be possible.

I'm sure the suicide gankers who do it for fun would love to join in the mess.

Update: Gotten a few backers, we're looking at some good money for the prize pool + additional bounties.

Going to try to contact the Goons tonight about interest, they love chaos. We're also going to try to shift it to Sunday since that's when CCP is gathering their stuff for the Museum of Modern Art piece.

Let's show these bastards what EVE really is.

Amamake has been decided as the location.

Superior Resources pledges 1 PLEX and 50 million to the pool and will be putting up bounties throughout the day.
