About once a week I get the below message and the only work around is disconnecting my internet and bypassing the launcher or completely re installing.

I use 3 different MBP Retina's and it happens to all of them. Any ideas?

Sounds like a hard crash.

I'm not sure what would be causing that level of corruption, though. Are you running anything else? Say, a Torrent client? I don't have a Retina MBP, so I can't offer more specific help than to say that EVE doesn't play well with other applications that share its connection, especially to stream or download.

Don't reinstall - just blow the folder \Library\Application Support\Eve Online away, or rename it. Happens on mine all the time. I've taken my mac book to the Genius bar about 4 times now thinking my system was junk - its a new 8gb i7 2.8Ghz 13" mac - and my second mac I've played Eve on - memory is fine, board and drive are ok. It's definitely a Eve software issue.

In fact, the problem would get fixed really fast if CCP would temporarily switch over to Macs and play the game for a week.
