So, my friends moved out into null and all my stuffs in low-sec about 40 jumps away...I'm naturally lazy so this is annoying to start with, while I relish the thought of heading out there and flying with them, I just can't bring myself to login and do all the logistical stuff of sorting it all out and getting someone to carrier jump it all over, I really wish this process was easier...and I was less lazy, but it's just not fun. I might just fly out there with a T3 and subs and reacquire everything.

Got me thinking though, could this stuff be easier? I watched the touney last night and the devs were on about a new class of capital, could we have a carrier solely dedicated to logistical/deployment purposes? Something that could carry fit ships (lots of them.) but without any combat potential...(Probably suggested a million times.)

TL;DR I'm lazy, I want to play and not run UPS/Parcelforce. Give me a new capital.

Can I have it?

Never bother moving your crap right and left like that. Take a bomber and move over there then rebuild everything from the scratch.
Eventually just set a jump clone at said station and buy whatever you need "in situ", profit.

I just finished clearing out all the junk I had leftover in various places across eve from my 7 years or so in game. It was a pain in the butt, sure I got some isk from the process but it's just not worth it. Unless you plan to return to this lowsec location, just liquidate it all and don't keep ships you don't use. Once your asset list is empty, jump in a cloaky frig or stealth bomber or something and make your way to your new home.

Hopefully they are well equipped where you are moving or at least have a logistic backbone that can help get you the ships you need up there.

Repeat this process when you are kicked out of your new 0.0 home and move back into low sec without the burden of trapped ships clogging your asset list.

Still far too lazy to do any of this. Gonna hang around low-sec and fly some solo cruisers for a while instead.

When I moved to null from empire, I moved those ships that were specifically called for in the Fleet Doctrine and built up the rest from scratch.

I ended up selling off the rest of my ships in empire piecemeal. Now the only thing I have in empire is my Super Shiny mission runner, a noctis and hauler... all in one station. Along with a clone. That is my "OMG I lost everything" insurance policy so that I have some sort of isk making ability if things go badly.

These 40 gates - how many carrier jumps would it take?

I'm sure you'll have at least one carrier pilot in your corp/alliance. Pay their fuel costs and a little extra for their time, open the cynos for them, and you can get it all moved pretty quick.

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.
