i was wondering if the new "suspect" and "criminal" flags apply to pods as well as ships?

can you freely shoot suspect and criminal pods in highsec/lowsec without penalty?

will the new killrights apply to pods as well?

I'm kinda curious about that myself.

From the patch notes:

Global targets:

A player is a legal global target if he has a Suspect flag, a Criminal flag or is an Outlaw (has a security status below -5)

Sounds like it's linked to the player not the ship so the pod is fair game too? I'm basing that off the current rules for outlaw pods.
There is no security penalty for destroying pods belonging to a war target or to an outlaw (a player with -5 security rating or less)

As far as killrights, they are just suspect tickets now. When you have a killright you can activate it and suspect flag them to everyone. If it's activated while they are in a pod then ....yes? It won't really matter much anyway the only way to trigger a kill ticket is to be suicide ganked in high sec or loose a pod to someone. Being that most of the people who pop pods or suicide gank are prepared for the consequences you'll very rarely get a "good" killright.
