don't forget SSC & KILL!

edit: to be fair though, you bring two alliances to one corps hole..... you should expect batphones.

also, we were fully prepared to fight even without SSC/VOC/KILL.

Lies Big smile

we took hole control still outnumbered....

Oh well, still nice gank for you guys. I am stunned tho why these corporation/alliance took your side tho after your behavior in wh space the last months

I can't speak for KIWF or SSC, but the main reason that I personally wanted to come along for this system defense was due to a little incident last year in which W-Space played a notable role.

Also can't speak for the entire of SSC, but personally I wanted to join the fight because I knew it'll be a good one. Not exactly every day when you have the opportunity to partisipate in a fight with so many "big players" of wormhole space. On top of that, even if I dislike some of the things Hard Knocks do, they still bring fights every now and then (just few days ago in our home system for example) and as such they are not deserving of being evicted from wormhole space, regardless of who they pissed off.

All in all, I have no regrets joining in and staying up to 6:30AM and having the kids try and wake me up only 15mins after I finally got to bed... :D

This.

The only reason the OP was organized was total lack of respect from the Hard Knocks to all the rest of the people inhabiting wormholes. It is heavily believed by many people that smacktalking in local should stay in nulls, while wormhole players should have a little more respect to each other.

I do hope HK leadership would re-consider their policy as to such things, at least remembering that one day people you ****-off might not come to help you for that very reason.

I do not agree with the following:
Quote:

We had like 11 capitals from two alliances while HK showed more then 20 capitals using the home field advantage to the full extend. It is not known what the results of the fight would be if it was given with those numbers. Aharm joined only after we had a VoC interest in joining the party got confirmed. Not mentioning HK had 33 towers there.

It was totally possible to bring an overwhelming force from the start with little chance of getting a fight in the end, so we came with what we came in hope there would be a fight (intel on HK numbers suggested it would be possible). A fight we've got and we did join it even having clear understanding we have little chance of getting out of it alive.

GF it was.

My gratitude to all the people who joined it, even those who joined the opposing side.

PS. Props to people, who organized safe exit. It seems to have become a good tradition of wormholes.

MisterAl tt1,

If you are offended by some smacktalk / badmouthing in local, petition CCP. The system of escalating bans for language or insults that 'cross the line' works just fine.

I don't understand why you are setting yourselves up as some sort of 'wormhole etiquette police' to justify this operation. You planned, prepared and executed a large scale invasion between two alliances, knowing that the defenders would be a tough nut to crack. You set yourself a challenge and did not back down when defense forces materialised - for which you guys certainly have my respect. There was epic pewpew and a civilised aftermath - just don't bother whipping up some idiotic anti-smack pretext next time!

There is no official corp policy on smack-talk in local. There will be no official corp policy on smack-talk in local even after this. We won't be dictated to. Invasions are not a good way to "teach us a lesson" as we are exceptionally slow learners. We like to have fun. We smack each other as much as we would smack anyone else. There are plenty of people who can testify to our culture (or lack-thereof depending on your point of view).

Fatyh, we may think different. From my point of view there are so many possible targets in wormholes that you sometimes need a reason to decide "let's go for this very guys". The reason for this very eviction was that mentioned.

What I can say is that if you ever see any of W-Space Alliance pilots smacktalking - feel free to contact me in that regard.

I wasn't able to be at the fight, but I can say why I gave the go-ahead for AHARM to join this little kerfuffle. I was a little conflicted when it came up, because it's true - we don't generally want to evict PvP corps. We absolutely want lots of PvP focused groups in wormholes. There aren't enough of them as it is.

So, then, why did we get involved? I've been meaning to post something like this for a while, but I generally stay away from public forums due to the huge amount of terrible posts I expect as replies to anything I might say. Throwing caution to the wind, here goes: some insight into Aperture Harmonics.

Three Major Reasons AHARM Might Want To Evict You:
1. Being a pure or nearly pure PvE corp in class 6 space
2. Dishonoring agreements
3. Excessive smack-talk and generally being dicks

Our evictions pretty much fall into one of these three categories. We don't see ourselves as the wormhole police or anything, but we are always looking for reasons to deploy our caps to shoot things, and these are the "good reasons" we use. We try to be consistent and our corp policies are opposite to all those things. We focus on PvP, our members know to always honor agreements, and we come down hard on members who smack too much.

As for yesterday's fight - the story we heard about why W-Space had its knickers in a twist fell into #3.

Sorry I missed the fun, and gf to the defenders. Thanks to W-Space and NoHo for the opportunity to join a big fight.
See you in space.

If your really offended by smack talk, EVE Online probably isnt the game for you.

Equally, i find this entire; "OMG someone said something mean to me on the interwebs" as pretty petty...

Just to confirm this excessive smack talk was one comment made by one member or our corp to one member of W-Space on one occasion? or am i missing something here?

And letting all remaining people out of hole is decidedly un-**** like move, and for that we get a "EVEN HK" respect this un-written rule of W-Space, as if we are the scourge of WH's. If you want to put us in this role that is your business but HK will continue to play the game and shoot people when we can get shot more often and get angry when people refuse to shoot.

But there is no bad blood from me and it was a GF from all, had fun would do again.

I agree with the basic message here. That said, don't be surprised if you find yourself being invaded because you acted like an assclown.

It reminds me of when I played basketball. There was always a lot of trash talking involved. I never took it personally, but it sure as hell motivated me to play a lot better just to make you eat your words

No trolling please
