i dont think this will do much in Jita.
There is already a group treating them as split second skeet shots, when they get to actually dock.

Because most people can't use it right of course. Anyway the real question is will it be scannable by customs?

yes they can re.CCP in i think it was the patch notes thread.

In that case I wonder what this change is trying to fix.

Not a well thought out idea.

I use a blockade runner to carry PI and other assets out of low sec to a trade hub.

Now my return trips are as risky as my drop offs, because people cannot see that I am empty. Eve is a game of numbers, and you just doubled my high risk jumps.

I'll adapt, but it just makes hauling assets out of low sec to a trade hub a pain in the ass.

Some of us operate in low sec and don't want to reship before we connect to the major trade routes.

If you are going to make this change then make the Primae a useful ship by making it more of a gate running PI hauler.

Add a high slot. Increase PI hold to 4000m3.

Add the following bonus -98.5% to -99.25% bonus per cloaking skill level to the CPU need of fitting a covert ops cloak.

It's the most ridiculous change, I've seen made for some time tbh. It already had scan immunity with it's cloak.

Pointless change is pointless.

Ironic that despite what CCP states as desires, they continue to make Low Sec even less appealing and more discouraging.

This is a terrible change, as I stated earlier.

To be fair, it's pretty hard to cloak at the jita 4-4 undock Blink
Why would you even try?

As usual, Jester hit the nail on the head with this one.

Think they should have extended it to both Transport types.

I hope they redue T1 Haulers with specific roles though difficult due to the lopsided ship distribution.

My thoughts on that in general are posted here.

Blockade Runners in Empire are often used for high value cargo anyway and their high skill requirements and low payoff (hauler [5] only gives you freighters and T2 haulers) probably means that the majority of them operating exclusively in Empire have been bought specifically for that purpose...

I have 2 Viators, and use them exclusively to pick up/move stuff. Not expensive stuff per se, its just a very handy ship due to its speed and agility if you need to pick up something bigger than what'll fit in a frigate hold.

Or rather, it used to be, think i'll be somewhat careful around market hubs now :)

unless people are auto piloting, i really don't see why they think flying a BR is going to be more risky after the patch...

Because now they can scan me and see that I'm empty or hauling 80 million in crap. After the expansion, I might be smuggling 100 PLEX.

Well I wouldn't. Just pointing out that a cov-ops cloak does not make your cargo immune to scanning all the time.

Not advocating the change, on a soft T2 ship that doesn't take a lot of ISK to gank, it's meh, and I would never use an expensive ship for my favorite gank-activity; flying empty double-wraps around hi-sec on auto-pilot :)

Who bothers hauling in high-sec anyway? That's what courier contracts are for.

Ipso facto then the courier is hauling through high sec, are they not ??

They use freighters, not blockade runners. In other words, use a cloaky hauler with a scout to get into high sec, then use Red Frog to carry your junk into Jita.

Hooray for collateral. I'm surprised the suicide gankers aren't cashing in on that too.
