I'm not sure if it's even possible to stop this anymore. Seems every world leader is pushing to ruin the internet.

We can knock this down like we have similar things in the past, but they'll just keep coming up with new things.

"Information is the oxygen of the modern age. It seeps through the walls topped by barbed wire, it wafts across the electrified borders." -Ronald Reagan

It's a threat, something many in the world want regulated, it threatens their control which threatens their power. My usual response is that the UN can shove it. But be it by the UN or some other worthless group/organization, it'll probably happen, just not today. But hopefully it won't happen until we have open-private networks up such as the HGG. But until then, we just gotta keep vigilant.

I'm in it for the money

So what's the probability that the developed world maintains the internet as we know it by block voting and treaty, and every other country can go screw themselves instead?

The onslaught now headed the internets way by every government just gives me the feeling that the internet is going to be the mother of all examples in the future of 'victim of its own success'.
