Unscannable Blockade runners is about the worst idea ever IMO

Yeah...now that they can't be scanned they will attempt to pop them all with new techniques, just on the chance they are valuable (mine will only drop PI junk).

At least the Orca was a challenge to pop.

Edit: esp. with the intoduction of Tier 3 BCs, the T2 transports are just about the worst defensible ships ingame.

It's entire defense is designed around agility and stealth. If you fail at cloaking, you fail at life. I welcome our new AFK-BR Ganking overlords!

Due to the mechanics of cloaking, especially after jump, these cannot be AFK piloted with their intended purpose in mind.

Although I'm sure someone Auto-pilots them. Really bad idea though. Useless, pointless idea, in fact. And please pop them if they do that.

Using a blockade runner, for any setup that has more than 4 planets with ccu3+ will require daily trips to and out of low sec which changes the time needed to update the pi from 2-4h to 30h+ which makes low sec pi a waste of time. However, if you are just 'dabbling' and don't make a lot of stuff there, then it is plausible.

You can spend the same 30h inside high-sec with a factory planet close to a hub and make the same or if not more isk in the same time with almost 0 risk.

Say WWWHHHAATTTT?

I have 4 toons with 5 planets each in Low Sec and 2 Factory Planets in High. Takes a total of 2 hours (every other day) to complete it all.

What are you doing wrong ? 30 hours ????????? (AND the output is dramatically higher than High Sec PI).

So, lets do some math, shall we?

2 hours every other day means... 15 days spent hauling per month and each time, you spend 2 hours. So...

2 * 15 = 30 hours spent every month on PI. Sounds more like a second job to me than "fun" for possibly 1b of profit.

Comes to 1 hour per day by anyone's math. If that's too much your expectations are idiotic.

Besides, that Billion ISK of PI gets slapped together with Ice Products for fuel blocks so the actual income for that one hour per day is more like 3 Bill per month.

And I'm not even including what I get from Ore mining.

Sigh.

You do know that you are just repeating what i have been saying for the last few posts right?

As for the "3bil profits" via fuel blocks then you need to check your maths again. PI products makes up 50% of the materials and ice another 50%. Even if you mined all the ice yourself and assuming one of the really good markups for fuel. At most, you would be making 2.3bil and even then, you are just making a 300mil profit compared to selling the ice and pi yourself.

It is a good idea to utilize your PI products, but claiming that just because you extract and make them yourself, you get them for "Free". With a single character utilizing his planets for factory setups in high-sec, you can get the same p2/3 made and still make the 2.3b for the same effort.

In the end... however it's everyones choice what they want to do. If you want to spend 30h+ every month hauling out from low sec in a blockade runner. It's your choice and if it works for you, it works well.
