More station environments has been mentioned before.

CCP needs to hold off on any art related to WiS until WiS actually has a purpose. The vast majority of EvE population has WiS turned off and station hanger as their default setting. Mostly because it doesn't take 5 minutes or longer to load.

As for other aspects of the game, more styles to each system would be nice. Every system pretty much looks just like every other system out there. There's almost nothing visually distinct from one system to the next. I'm not saying all systems need to look unique and different from one another, just more than none would be great. Fractured planets, planets still forming, binary stars, black holes, pulsars, and other stuff would do.

More color would help the game too in my opinion. Most of the game is either silver/gold, matrix green, grey and rust red. What about other colors of the spectrum? Of course having a pink thorax has bad idea written all over it, but the color scheme really needs a face lift.

Since we're on the topic of art and by dictionary definition music is considered art, how about a revamp to EvEs ingame music? It's dull. It's boring. Sometimes obnoxious. It never fits in to what's actually going on ingame. The music sounds so foreign and out of place that I wonder if the artist even knows what EvE Online is.

As one of the people who fly ships partially for the looks of the given ship (my noob ratting-ship was an oracle oO), I totally agree of the work on the mega, stabber, tempest and the stealth-bombers without any second thoughts!

Especially this megathron is a quantum leap regarding the accentuation of the former, bulby hull. It's sharp now, not random -- looks way more 'wanted'. This new kronos is great, fed navy mega is well acceptable, but
the new vindi... so great. Can't say if the vindicator or the vargur looks more bossy.

The new destroyers though, they are more on the questionable / you-will-get-used-to-this side of design. They are dairy, I think it's the term I'Ve been looking for. I really like the minmatar destroyer, looks like a rotten box spouting missiles, can't say the same about the other destroyers though. Maybe I'm just different for loving the one ship most people don't. Actually, that could be an indicator for good design. Seperating the opinions :D

I know this is a pretty common suggestion, but it doesn't hurt to add it to the discussion again.

Ship skins, or decals based on corporation and alliance affiliations. Even something small like in World of Tanks for instance where your clan has a tag that is applied to each vehicle.

An ideal solution would be customized corporation or alliance level paint schemes so that fleets look and feel united.

Option in the game menu to scale the level of the general brigthness.

I remember when v3'd ships and the new nebulae came out on test server things were dark where the sun don't shine. It looked really great but some people argued about the darkness (they weren't able to see their ships) so CCP increased the level of general brightness. It would be cool to be able to costumize this on our own dependening on our personal taste.

Also bubbles!! Smile
Almost all effects were redone in the past except bubbles. And they are important part of the game's art because we can see it even if we are turning off effects and zooming out. Compairing to the rest of the game bubbles seem a little bit outdated. And forcefields will go away anyway.

A clear admission from CCP Art that the previously-organic Gallente stylings of the Brutix are being given to the Jove instead, and all further designs will be more like the Myrmidon and Talos (i.e. reminiscent of 1950s vehicles).

At least that would shut up a lot of haters.

Keep whoever desinged the Legion, Nemesis and New Gallente Destroyer (ill remember the name one day) remove everyone else and let those guys breed in a small room, acclerate the growing process of their offspring. Replace the childrens fingers with digital pens.

And an update to the available corp logo creator might be nice as well to tie in with that.
We're in a sci-fi game with no recollection of Earth but our corp logo's show medieval imagery. Needs more abstract/otherworldly shapes.

Also - NPC stations to be corp-skinned if applicable, but I think they've mentioned this before in a video blog. Actually, just a peek at the v3/redesign roadmap would be welcome. I was kinda expecting something on that in the devblog that got pulled.

Higher resolutions on the ship textures. Some of the new V3 ships suffer terrible texture blurring (Raven, anyone?), and we've already seen that CCP doesn't mind using higher resolutions for certain ships (Hyperion).

Capital ship models. As far as I know, there was a rumor that capital ship models require not just V3'ing, but some actual remodeling and a lot of work on the texture quality. As a cap ship pilot I should say that texture quality is bad on capital ships.

So the question is - when, what and what to expect? :)

Also as previous poster - higher quality textures are in order, because playing at HD at highest settings reveals how bad the textures are on many of the ships. I have memory and disk space, my PC can handle increased memory requirments.

I think the most important thing in the moment is not WHAT you see, but HOW you see...

The camera tracking upgrade made my game looks 100 times better during combats, and all the Art upgrade and sound upgrade were wondefull. but there is still a thing that botters me...

When I use the look at function to get a closer look at a ship, I want to see the turrets and the incoming fire on it, but I also want to see the details of it exploding, but in the last fraction of second, before I can see the details of the explosion the camera gets back to me.... and I became sad...

Also wen I use the look at function or when the camera goes back to my ship, Or I lose my ship and the camera focus the pod, it automatically changes the distance towards the ship. This is annoying and also remove totally the size notion... Ask them to remove this, so we could actually compare the sizes... ( in the moment a BS or a frigate seems to have the same size when you board them...)

Someone on GD reminded me of something Torfi & players were talking about;
The nebula we have now; There was talk of releasing an optional HD texture pack for those who arn't bothered with the extensive extra download.

(see: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=39174 and the deblog+comments @ http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=3057 back in november 2011.)

Was this dismissed / fell off the radar, or is it actually now streamed in the client? Nebulas still look a bit pixelly in places. I was unsubbed during most of Crucible, and I couldn't find any followup on this issue.
