Bumping at the gate is like spamming convo?

If i spamming convo to another player people can report me to GM that warming me (because you doing a bad action)

And about people that bumping you on gate like for 10-20minutes on hisec when you are in freighter is no the same thing???

CCP can tell us about it? I think it is the same thing because you can't doing anything like people that spamming convo to you.

No they two are not the same.

Convo spamming requires multiple parties involved. Your client receives so many requests that it chokes, freezes, and must he restarted. You cannot activate modules, open other windows, you are locked out until restarting your client.

Bumping does none of this. It requires 2 people. Your client still functions. If your shop has modules that can be activated, you can.

These two are not the same.

It is an exploit to bump someone for no reason but with intent to engage, nothing can be done.

i think it is same thing because you can't doing anything you cant moving, you can only just talking with people. But if i want talking with people i don't play to eve... If you bump a people for 1 minutes can happen, but if you bumping people for 20minutes are not the same thing.

convo spamming is an negative abuse in the game because its an exploit of the UI. If you send a convo to some one they cant click anything BEHIND the convo request untill you accept or deny the request. bumping leaves you full control over all the features in the game, you just cant get away because you choose to fly something slow and cumbersome for whatever reason you chose to fly it and you dont have the ability to get away from a bumper just like you wouldnt be able to out run tackle or any other evasion. but if you were close enough to something like a gate or a station nothing would stop you from jumping / docking.... if your in docking range trying to dock and some one is chat spamming you, you physically cannot click the dock button due to the UI layer from the chat request. yes you can mouse over to it but clicking anything wont register untill you take care of the chat request....

Again to sum up.. bumping = game mechanic and your own personal choice if you choose to fly something faster/more agile than ur bumper... he cant bump you...

chat spam= abuse of user interface mechanics.

Spamming convo requests exploits an issue with your client, shutting down your client and preventing you from interacting with the game.

Bumping you exploits your ship, preventing you from controlling your ship as you would like. They are not the same.

CCP has confirmed that bumping is not an exploit, or harassment, or a bannable offence.

Dont you love how all the Gankers and Pirates come out when one of there obvious exploits is threatend. So basically its ok to be able to disable a ship without aggression. Basically bumping to a large ship = being warp scrammed. Amazing that its a Valid tactic as the person being bumped can do nothing to combat it.


Its cool we know the gankers and pirates of EVE can only kill frieghters by bumping. Everyone knows the only real issue with bumping is frieghters and hi sec ganker gate camps. To many Goons involved with CCP at the Meta and design level. As this one one of there favorite past times it will never change. For people who cant adapt to win exploiting broken mechanics is typical of all MMO games.
