I have two Small Standard Containers on my D scan. I'm at an angle of 15, and they are under 76,000 KM's away.

How close do I need to get to these things to have them show up on my overview?

i'm sure some one smarter than me will correct me.

Grid is, last time I checked, about 400km in size.

Have a wiki page on grids and their manipulation: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Grid_Manipulation

If it's a well-traveled location (Ossogur gate in Amamake, for example) the grid may be of all kinds of weird shapes. I've had off-grid bookmarks suddenly be on-grid and vice versa in the past.

So far as your problem, OP, you should try to get the container on 5 degree d-scan before charging at it. I'd also use a fast frigate of some sort if I were you; those distances are quite large.

About 400/450km on grid. With 5° it's easier to go straight for it and most important: 10 000Km in a 2.5k speed frig takes about 2h if you acount some stops because you lost the thing on scan or do something stupid (me? never!!)

This was actually in a wormhole. Noone in my corp knew anything about them!

It took a while, but I got to them. They showed up on the overview at something like 504KM.

I thank you all for the help. It was a giant pain to get o them, but I finally did it!!

(It was also a colossal waste of time)
