cause he was not commentating on day 4 of tournament live stream.

It was bliss, i could un-mute my sound and actually listen to the tournament for a change

They're switching people around. He was the cameraman today.

Also, Dolan is good as he is not as boring as the rest of them, which makes him a good commentating partner to the more flat commentators of today.

Dolan is maturing as a commentator. He is now far more comfortable in front of a camera than in the past and I think by the next AT he will be quite worth listening to.

CCP Dolan is awesome!

All great commentating duos have one knowledgeable, down to earth guy who does the facts and details, and one more flamboyant character that brings in the emotion, passion and humour.

dolan > falcon

i take dolans goofyness over falcons non-existent "commentary" all day, every day... sadly, his days of commentary-glory, if they ever existed, are a thing of the past...

I like all the CCP Devs that have been on so far.

They re doing something which is pretty difficult. Commentating a match is fairly easy, the difficulty is the fact that if the match lasts less time then the max or there is issues with the teams or technology they need to basically make rubbish up on the spot to stop it from being silent.

So well done so far commentating Devs.

I think he's one of the best commentators and pairs up really well with Fozzie. Him not commentating one day has nothing to do with his skill but more to do with us wanting to give Falcon some time on the air.

tbh none of the commentators are bad, they just have different mannerisms, tbh i would have loved to seen dolans response to the 3 malice losses. Did anyone manage to film that?

All of the commentators are doing a wonderful job with the New Eden Open. It's just a continuation from the solid presentation of the past alliance tournaments. Now I realize a lot of you boys have a full on chub for dear Dolan, but the important thing to remember about commentator panels is diversity is key.

A variety of personalities and styles is what makes live commentary exciting and fun to watch. It also gives the other commentators a platform to play off of. Dolan is the Larry King of the group. He's loud, few generally know what he's talking about and he's a bit of a perv, but we all love to watch him. Plus you never know what crazy thing will come flying out of his mouth next. Fozzie is a less drunk and senile John Madden. There are no annoying lines or circular rants which make no sense, but gosh darn it if that man doesn't know spaceships. In the future I fully expect to see console games spawned from Eve Online with him saying things like, "Internet spaceships is a game about the internet and spaceships." I haven't seen enough of Falcon to give him an alter ego yet, but I'm sure I'll find a fitting one in in time. Still, CCP should invest in behind the head headsets to prevent the continued defiling of your Mohawk. Finally we have Soundwave who is the Charro of the group. Just plain ole gall dern sexy and has the dance moves which bring all the nerds to the yard.

Big ups to those brave enough to get in front of the camera with confidence to talk spaceships. Live commentating is not easy in front of or behind the camera. Kudos to the lot of you and I hope you see your darling faces representing future events.

What i don't understand is how he can pass him self off as an expert

lots of people for years have done PVP videos and now live streams, which shows their knowledge and skills and this also contributes to the eve player base and especially new eve players, and by doing this they gain respect from the eve community, if they are good, but never seen any by MB3

kil2 springs to mind, but there are loads of others

only time i have seen him was in a torp Raven hiding amongst 800 other TEST pilots, he never FC's (i have a spy in TEST)

Its a joke, its like he thinks the average age of eve players is 10 years old the way he speaks on commentary

I really don't understand how ccp selected him over kil2 or other people

I to mute the sound when his on commentary

throw mintchip on for an evening and brighten up the studio, i'll take her expert advice over MB3 aka ccp dolan any time and i bet she would give ccp fozzie a run for his money
