Me as europian needs to pay euros for plex.

There is an great offer currently today 10 plex ( 5 gtc ) for 149 euro..
However if i buy 5 GTC at dollars i pay 134,91 euro ..

Ok ccp explain this one please..

Its like a freaking jita scam if you ask me.

anywya my advise if your from europe.. Be smart and please dont buy this so called great offer..

Both deals are horrible, CCP must be the worst company coming up with "what they write" with special deals...

So no they aren't. That's besides the point though. The point is they aren't the same items and they're sold in different places, so their price is not governed by the same rules(Can I get a huzzaa for taxes \o/) and they're paid for in different currency. It's perfectly ok to buy them for cheap though. CCP will get their money either way.

well i think its only bad for europian players as you pay the currency from where you are from.
So my best guess is that ppl from the US see a 150 dollar deal for 10 plex..

which part of yes dont you understand? GTC are plex you convert them on your account managment page.. There is no difference other that you get 2 plex for 1 GTC

an GTC cost 34.99 USD
and plex for someone in europe cost 19,95- eur

so 2 plex which is the same as 1 GTC with no black Friday offer costs 39,9 euro which is 51.09 dollars

It's called an exchange rate mechanism, as it's a black friday offer I presume that the original price is in US$, historically Europe has always gotten screwed on the conversion from $ to € and £, most companies seem to assume $1 = 1 of whatever currency is worth more than the $, you also have to take into account the rate of VAT which varies across Europe, CCP probably cover their bases by including the VAT at a fixed rate (probably the highest) so that administration costs are minimised.

Do the obvious thing, buy 5 PLEX @ the lower price via the GTC mechanism in place. Personally I find that a sub is way cheaper than buying either PLEX or GTC, you're getting charged extra for the convenience of being able to change real cash for imaginary cash.

CCP don't sell GTC. I think that's what these people are trying to say and keep their rough and tough edge.

The people who buy GTC get them in bulk and get better deals as a result. They then pass that on to you. If you can buy GTC cheaper, do that. Plex is aimed at Americans and Canadians with more money than brains. Like me.

Jonah Gravenstein and Ocih you are both right, thats why i am warning the euro players..

in the early days there was no plex and only GTC . you could extend your game time with creditcard or an other 3th party. ( in dollars )

The problem is that ccp is making people believe that this is an great sale.. And if ppl dont know better they might buy it.
With this post i hope that ppl who need to pay euro`s for plex. Read my post and buy GTC..

How can you buy a plex from CCP for dollars and live in europe? When I visit the Plex site on the Eveonline site I only get prices in euros...

Sorry if this is really obvious, I just don't seem to find this anywhere :S

This totally depends on exchange rates. Currently european players may be at a disadvantage. But there were also times, where you could get plex at a rate equal to a months sub in a yearly payment scheme.

At those rates, buying a gtc was very attractive, because you had comparable costs and high flexibility.

You cant buy plex in dollars sadly.. you will need to buy GTC from an reseller .

i use shatter crystal as its instant .. ( they do a 1st time buys check )

Then when you get GTC in your email you can covert them from out of your account managment page.
