I'm pretty peeved that I was writing a good Eve Online story, only to be interrupted by pesky ice mining covetors and chest beating hulks (they're all dead btw).

Now I've lost my inspiration and I don't have any witty comebacks.

I was about to write about the deep space tentacle monster.. slowly squeezing my ships control surfaces.. how even though I was trying to get away it kept pulling me back...

I disagree that you can't heavily tank a mack. We blew up a pair of macks yesterday that were rolling around fit like this.
