Are you sick and tired of blobs and ganks and general spaceship interaction? It seems like nature has found the perfect answer to your qualms:

http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/140635-the-downside-of-warp-drives-annihilating-whole-star-systems-when-you-arrive .

That is right, if your pos is being sieged by a super-capital blob just warp your frigate to a far away planet and back onto the blob and watch them all explode in fiery death!!!

If CCP ever implements inter-system warps there is even a good possibility of destroying planets. That will show those Dust Bunnies who is boss!!!

On a more serious note this is an interesting hurtle. If the explosion is directional one could conceivably adjust your incoming warp trajectory so that it does not intersect anything you don't want exploded. It also seems having a series of short warps could mitigate much of the problem entirely.

I am no expert but it seems like this could be one of the less pressing issues to making warp drive a reality. We still have no idea how to make or contain the exotic matter required for it, but hopefully that is just a matter of time.

Until then, dream of Titan exploding frigates :)

i dream of a planet exploding in eve at all

new idea pitch:

make null sec moons able to be blown up, and if they do get blown up they have to be reformed using capsuleer construction and terraforming >: )
