My God, it's full of anoms!

While doing some exploring last night, ok we were hunting, I found a C2 with almost 200 anoms and sigs. There were 2 active POS with ships that could easily handle C2 sites. Obviously the residents had not run a significant amount in ages, but how long do you have to idle for that many to spawn? Has anyone ever seen more?

200 seems a bit high - even in the months after wormholes were released when a large number were uninhabited and some hardly if at all visited in weeks or months I don't think I saw a system with more than about 68 sites. 40-60 seems about the going rate for wormholes where sites have built up untouched.

Had to do some cropping to fit it all in one image. I can supply original images if people really want to dispute it, but my point isn't to prove the legitimacy of my claim. That's over 150, a bit shy of my original claim but I didn't take an exact count last night. Do you think CCP is aware of this? We came in through a R943. Would they manually spawn this hole? All other holes that we found were going out from the C2 but I am not sure if I spawned them or not.

We were absolutely convinced that this was the case at first! Who lives in the hole and doesn't clear these?

That is unusual, but not impossible.

Back in the day, BUGRY found a C3 with U210. It had 106 grav sites, 48 ladars, 13 radars, 15 mags and 63 anomalies. We came in via a T405 from our C4, sieged the dudes out (the CEO logged in 10 minutes before his POS popped, said "lol" and logged) made about 9 billion from the POS and 3-4 billion from grinding the anoms, mags, radars, etc.

I tried selling the hole to some mining carebears with 104 gravs intact, but no one would bite. Possibly because they were worried about the lowsec connection, who knows, but a system like that is a gold mine for a corp who loves grinding rocks. At about 300M per grav in ABCs alone...

My advice? Farm the anoms, radars and mags, suck the good ladar gas, then leave them to it. They are probably more concerned with researching BPO's in peace than PVPing. You don't accumulate 100 sigs if you ever regularly log in to scan.

Actually, I only see 90 anom's....rest are signatures which need to be scanned down.
Edit: Reread OP. Reading comprehension for the win?

Having said that, I would follow TF's bit of advice, and assist those plebian carebears in their horrendous effort to scan out their static when the time comes for one of them to stick their nose out of the hole for a sanity check.....

A group of pvp fit drakes, a salvager or 2, and a smattering of scouts can make (fairly) short work for a tidy bit of iskies.

Awesome. I caught the book/movie reference as well. A Space Odyssey 2001. Dave's last words. Poor Dave. First HAL kills his crew, then tries to kill him - then he gets absorbed by a big space stone.

Tbh this would be horrible for baiting, because with so many sites clustered together you have a really hard time finding the one where the ratters are in.

we found a c5 that had 85 signatures....black hole . what happens is when the sites are run and they respawn elsewhere certain systems end up accumulating them. Usually they only last several days and ran or not move elsewhere. In this case it is likely the dumping ground of an active constellation.

regardless thats quite the unique find, ive never seen so much junk on scan before.

I ran across a C5 last week with about 60-80 anoms and sigs. I nearly wet my pants. I literally said holy @#$% out loud.

Very interesting system; never seen anywhere near that many. I found a C2 w/ null-sec one time that was occupied and had like 30 or 40 anomalies with about 10 radars/mags and I thought that was off the hook.

Back in the beginning of my WH career I moved into a WH with my corp after we found I think it was 92 combat sites...we spiked over 2k sleeper kills on dotlan in 24 hours :)

I never wanted to see an oruze again. I hated my life, but got my wallet loved it.

Usually these end up being null connections for c3's, blackholes & the like that no one would ever live in, but sometimes you get greedy people or carebears who just dont give a toss, either way exploit it and have fun ^^

+1 to the guy who noted it'd be crap bait, combats or gtfo in that situation...
