and come on all the tournament live tv streams as an expert, get paid lots of money and free trips and accommodation in Iceland, and have an in game name with ccp in front of it?

to decide who wins each match i will just flip a coin and giggle

I wont knock the presenters as although that task *looks simple*, wait until a camera is pointed at you and you are asked a simple question. Brains tend to turn to mush under that pressure.

Would like to see more experts in the mix mind you.

Perhaps have some 'after fight' interview of the winning team. Some 'sound bite' about the clash. Some more insight.

To be fair, you guys could probably use a couple of extra ones since having Dolan and Fozzie cut back and forth to themselves is a bit silly.

Surely you have other former EVE players who know the ins and outs of PvP to call on? ;)

My current "job" at CCP is hanging out with CCP/White Wolf Atlanta devs and getting drunk with them at Dragon*Con in Atlanta. :)

While we certainly do, there's a point to be said for willingness to both step in front of a camera and put in the time and effort it takes to be interesting and to basically talk continuously for hours on end. Both CCP Dolan and Fozzie are willing to do this basically because they love the tournaments that much.

I, for instance, could get in front of the camera, but I doubt I'd be good at it. We have others who could do it, and might even be willing, but they're running other parts of the tournament. It's really a difficult job.

Though we have heard people who are asking for commentators to be freshened up somewhat. We're looking in to see how feasible it is to find someone to rotate in every once in a while.

You do realize that while dev's are never to reveal ingame that their char have a dev behind the keyboard, ALL are encouraged to play the game.

What is more likely:

a. CCP Fozzie, knowing that he is too well known to hide his CCP affiliation, simply gives up playing the 0.0 game with PL. So CCP Fozzie biomassed / sold all of his chars with PL, and now has a new char sitting in a Retriever in 1.0 space somewhere.

b. CCP Fozzie wants to keep playing the game with his ingame friends he has built up, and is using some char with quite a few SP (PL pilots are typically hardcore PvP'ers with lots of SP), and eventually his PL friends will figure out who his ingame persona is, but will stay quiet about it.

c. CCP Fozzie wants to start a new life with char in a new alliance that does not know him. Which becomes very interesting given the intense background check, and API checks that PL and the other alliances (I know that many, if not all Test corps ask for a full API) do. Also, I believe it even gets more interesting when CCP Fozzie has to speak on mumble or TS for an interview.


Which of those options do you believe is the one that happened?

The first of those options are actually the only ones that are viable. Internal Affairs would crack down on anything else.

I'd love to do concept art for you guys, I'd even do it for free, I don't need money. And yes I am talented enough to do it, and yes I am bragging, yes I am cocky, yes I've earned the right to be.

I can't travel.
I can't produce art on a "regular" basis.
And I may only be able to do it for a couple of years.
And no, I will never come to iceland, at least not in the winter.

I would also expect to be paid in pie. Freshly baked. You'd have to work out the logistics of that; not my problem.
And no ******* mincemeat, that's not pie goddamn it. Pie has fruit in it, only fruit.
