Carebears play EvE, PvPrs play EvE forum and whine.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

OK, now you're just evading the question.

I'll spell out what you should have figured out by now:

Devs should respect all playstyles in this game, because they all contribute to what EVE is. To say they should all put PvP first means you'd have them neglect everything else.

Everything. Literally everything in this game, from mission running or anomalies, to industry, to the market, to ship based combat, to planetary interaction, is PVP. Literally every single thing you can do in this game, unless you were to sit around, run missions, and then just keep the ISK and never spend it, and never cash out your LP, in which case why are you playing the game?

Even mission running is PVP to an extent when ninjas can get into your missions

Except you were responding to a statement specifically about ship vs ship PvP, and saying every dev should have that opinion.

Hell, it doesn't even require that.

If I run a mission, I create ISK and LP. That ISK very slightly devalues the rest of the ISK in the game. If I create ISK fast enough, I pull ahead of someone who does not create isk as fast as I do. When I cash out my LP, I don't make any money at all until I stick it on the market, which means I am now in direct competition with other players. PvP

I don't think I should have to point out to you that he didn't say that.
I think you realize that and are trying to back out gracefully once you realized your post was merely lashing out at an imagined threat to your pet playstyle.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

No where did I say that. I consider, and always have, every single thing you can do in this game that puts you in contact with another player in a meaningful way, to be PvP

Unsurprisingly, I am locking this thread.

But let me clear up a few things first...

1) Falcon (and myself) are Community Developers. A major part of our job is to interact with the EVE community, which means posting on the forum AND enforcing the forum rules.

2) There is a proper way to object to a specific piece of moderation and that is to file a petition. The absolute worst way to do it is to start ranting on the forums, especially when it's directed at a CCP employee.

3) When you see people engaging in behavior that violates forum rules, the proper action is to report the thread, not to feed the thread with continual posts.

I'll add to this, I guess.

As an EVE player before I became a Dev I used to do the following :

> Run mission regularly (pirate Gurista missions in Venal).
> Produce ships.
> Play the market.
> Ice mine (drunk usually) for my corporation's cap fleet fuel.
> Produce T2.

At the same time, I was also a PvPer, and a pirate, spending most of my EVE life as an outlaw and a roleplayer since 2003.

The fact of the matter is, that both PvPer and "Carebears", or industrialists as I prefer to call them, have their place in EVE.

That said, people who rant for no objective reason on the forums and just generally make bad posts to troll and try to get a response from people do not have a place here.

It's unfortunate that you're annoyed because I locked your thread, but in the end you should think before you post, and when you do post, you should do so with a mature and reasonable attitude.
