Joining FW

For some time now i was thinking about joining FW.
I learned what i need to know about FW mechanics but I have no knowlage of factions themselves.
In short, i have no clue which side to join.
I suppose i'm not the only one with this in mind.
Could someone try objectively (yea i know..) describe current faction's standings, mby some PROs and CONs for each faction?

PROs and CONs are a very subjective thing. Me dropping a rev is a big CON for the caldari, who will run back in to whatever lousy corner of highsec spawned them, but a big PRO for let's say, Snuff, who will just drop 3 supers on it and get a dread km.

Kidding aside, tell us what you are looking to get out of FW, and we'll prolly be able to help you with an answer.

Well i don't rly care if the actual faction is winning or loosing. I'm looking for bunch of ppl who wanna have a good time, work well together and possibly are not assholes:P.
I know this is very subjective matter, but i i'm guessing when someone is at something for longer period of time, he must have sort-off healthy opinion about his surroundings.

You're after a good corp then rather than a good faction. The npc corp experience in all militias in notoriously bad. Having said that, you will struggle to find a good corp as that character has zero kills on it according to eve kill. Buy 100 rifters, explode them, then apply to some guys you think look cool.

If you're looking for community Corporation is all that matters not militia. Entering militia is free for all, so you can't pick your allies there and there will always be assholes on all sides.

And some corporations do welcome newbies which doesn't have much kills.

amarr are the best. Everybody knows that. Spacemonks with lasers... thats all you have to know

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Not entirely true - the Caldari militia for example is famous for the amount of internal conflict and open war between corporations. If the OP is looking for a militia that works well together - Caldari militia is the worst at this from my experience, even though they have some very good corporations/alliances (o/ Happy Endings)

In that case join Amarr and give us a fight :-)

Seriously though, at the minute it's Amarr for a challenge. If you've got FC experience you may well be hailed as a messiah. IO corps will also be happy to process enquiries I'm sure :p

As people said above, you need to look for a corp you click with, faction choice is secondary to that.

That said, in my personal opinion, the Amarr/Minmatar front is fantastically active, at least in the us time zone (the only time I know enough to speak to), with good opportunity for solo and small gang fights. It is a great place for a new pvper to learn the ropes, and both sides have good, active corps.

Take a look in the recruitment forum and look for a corp that can take and train new pilots. Also look into pvp classes with agony unleashed, those guys are amazing pilots, and fantastic to learn from.

I hope to see you in space soon, either as an ally or an opponent!

Edit: sorry, posted before I saw your response saying this isn't your main. Ignore the bit about training :) The part about the Amarr/Minmatar front being the place to be stands.

As far as finding a good corp in faction warfare ask around, because even if a certain faction is lossing doesn't mean that they don't like to have a good time or enjoy the game. Personally I have been yelled at or whatever for derping a fleet into a bigger enemy because they won't ship down but every time we do my fleets have fun, and every time people come back. If you don't mind lossing some ships here and there any militia corp can be fun, all you need to do is look around and you will find a good corp to have you in.

Thanks everyone for the imput and absence of trolling.
Since this toon is Amarrian and got 50mil SP in Armor tanking and Amarr ships, i'm leaning a bit towards joining Amarr FW.
But as you guys mentioned, its probably more about corp than the faction.

I'll raise a post in Recruitment center, mby i'll get lucky.
Still if any1 is interested in Full Amarr PVP speced 50 mil SP pilot (most subcaps to L5 Amarr carrier 5) lemme know:)
Veteran Logi, decent PVP skills, small fleet FC experience.
Since this toon has no PVP history - on request i will link my PVP character

Never said they didn't wardec their own, just that they were a good alliance. They fly all kinds of ships, they spend more time pew pewing then QQing on the forums etc.

Check with Shalee, I'm in her corp and like it. She does recruitment.

I would sort of echo souless brutor. There are allot of good pvpers in faction war. But there are also allot of new and bad pvpers. People who end up enjoying faction war the most, are those that can roll with the punches. Its not about perfection. Sure we strive for perfection, but usually its about making due with what we have on hand.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815
