Nahh, but I'll counter offer by saying you should be able to scan the energy signature of a gate to tell how often it was activated in the past hour.

Knowing how many are in the system as a constantly aware total is still OP.

But that just becomes mindless busy-work, since scanning the gate would ALWAYS be something you need to do, as opposed to dscanning or probing for more info, which you only need to do IF you dont already know who it is via other means (like good chat communication, etc.).

Regardless, by the way, I don't think the game should tell you updates totals if somebody jumped in with a jump drive. It should notify you of a cyno field like it does now, but if you dont get there in time to see or dscan what came through, then you'll have no idea how many people entered.
