No, don't go away! This is an awesome idea, honest.

What if CCP decided to build a new server cluster with hardware from 2003, hosting EVE as it was back then? Awesome, right? They could charge $20 a month for such a priviledge to people who played in that server; I'm sure all the people who think EVE is dying would love to play there, because EVE was so, so much better then.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Legacy server. I am sure they have this in a drawer somewhere in case carebear EVE becomes popular and they want to have their cake and eat it too. And I don't mean that to be insulting. I wouldn't blame them.

Rando, do you deliberately look like Yakov Smirnoff?

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

I think there should be two tranquility servers. One in the US the other for EU.
You now how hard it is to find other US players. It's easier lately but it's still tough.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

:D What's even more awesome is that you subconsciously made your avatar look like Yakov.

Make a seperate shard for high sec only players.

Then destroy that shard.

You, my friend, are an idiot. Why do you want to make Eve even more not a sandbox game?

You're right, my one throw away post about destroying all the high sec players belies my inherent stupidity. WOE Sad

I heard a great idea, create a perfectly safe mining region where no combat is possible, let all the carebears flood in, then destroy the jumpgate. The carebears can mine to their hearts' content, and won't have to play with anyone else. Big smile

Somebody get this man his pills.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Players who enjoy pvp can do industrial stuff too you know. The only difference would be that it would be worthwhile for them to do, and they'd do it in ways that aren't pants-on-head ********. The "500 mil punisher" thing would never happen.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:
