To make the music match the mood of the space you're in.

Because it doesn't work for what they want the background music to do. If you want a string of tunes that have no relation to the game, any old out-of-game music player will do the job better.

I listen to NPR while playing anyway, so doesn't matter to me.

Thoughts?

Get rid of it because no one uses it. Heck, mine is muted.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Probably because they need to clean up the game before bringing in the new expansion.

If your adding noise for planets how about some more static hiss when you park up by a sun.

Hiss and Rumble... like a volcano. You guys in Iceland should be able to get that sounds pretty easily.

Question: When are the new sounds hitting the test servers?

You team has a fitting name. The things you are working on sound rather interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all fits together in the end.

Lot of noise for nothing. If you make it too noisy i will finally put sounds off.

It must be chaotic feeling when your all 10 clients try to play all those sounds.

I'm using the jukebox occasionally. And this is coming a bit early, since I'm still waiting for that 50 MBit connection I ordered and that I'll probably get in q1 2013.

Currently I'm still running on 384 KBit/s Lol, so streaming whatever ist not an option.

Planets having sounds?! what are you on crack! that is probably the dumbest thing i have ever heard. There better be options to individually turn certain sound effects off, because personally i dont want to hear my ships hum for 4-5 ******* hours.

Hum... Did you nerf the musics =) or there are some of them who was badly uploaded on Soundcloud ?

Try "We fight proud for the holder" for exemple. Normal music : 3:16. On Soundcloud : 4:21, but it is slower than the normal one.

Sounds like you are aiming to do this already, but just to be clear I'd like to see the dynamic score change according to what you are doing as well. For example, I'm hanging out in 0.0 running a complex should be different than I'm on a roam (un-engaged atm) and different from engaged in pvp. Likewise, cruising around hi-sec should be different from running a mission in hi-sec(probably already done that) which should also be different than doing an incursion in hi-sec. (As long as after the new AI incursions remain more difficult than

Well i do understand why they are doing but getting rid of the whole being able to play your own mp3s through it which works perfectly fine seems really silly to remove. But reading the other threads calms a few of my fears by them saying that they arnt removing any of the old music which is good.
