Sounds good, no pun intended.

The only thing which comes to mind is for ships which are on the very edge of cap stability, potentially ticking back and forth over that 30% every time the shield booster fires. That could get a mite annoying.

We felt that the planets should really be heard when warping up to them and so made the planet sounds that can be experienced in Planetary Interaction mode audible just by warping up to them.

Will temperate planets sound like beach resorts? Will ice planets make me want to dress in my finest Viking gear and raid small villages?

On some missions, I like how once I activate the first Acceleration Gate, the music changes to a more dynamic and exciting soundtrack, relative to the quiet, peaceful, almost meditative music that usually plays in EVE.

Please consider implementing something like that, for combat missions.

FREE ABATHUR

The Gaming MoD - retro to modern, console to MMO, I blog about it if it's a game and I'm interested in it. Yes, I play games other than Eve and I don't care if you think I'm wrong.

Great Devblog, it's just a shame that the new dynamic music system is being restricted to nullsec... what a waste :(

Unless of course I'm reading you wrong.

If your adding noise for planets how about some more static hiss when you park up by a sun.

That welcoming music was part of the routine that kept me grounded. I understand the reasoning, and Eve is all about reasoning and cold numbers. As I listen to the music now though (on sound cloud), I am reminded that all things change, and Eve should be no exception.

you could always...download the song and queue up your EVE playlist on your media player whenever you start the game, first song being that one?

LOL, shield sound is already blaring in your ears every 3 seconds with an active shield tank, might as well have the cap sound effect going as well

Can I put in a request for the sound of a crowd laughing whenever you get suicide ganked in highsec?

Jukebox was a slap in the face for useability. Good riddance.

I only ask for many of these additions to have toggle options. If graphics can have a million options for engine/missile trails, weapons, drones etc. Sound should allow the same customization as its an equally important sense. (That's why the re-vamp correct?) While I love atmosphere, don't make it all or nothing.

So planets, map, ship idle, shield/armor reps or other repeatable modules with looping sounds, rat/drone chatter, should all have options to turn on or off.

Though the graphic options are to save your computer, sound options should save your brain. I personally cant stand repetitive noises such as the repair or booster loops.

oh I probably will. I'm getting sentimental in my old age (7 years playing, lol). I just found the old login screens and some of my favorites are missing. :(

I have mixed feelings but mostly positive ones!
The capacitor sound (if it is like shield/armor/hull) might be annoying in situations.

Can wormholes have changing sounds like the gates? On a side note it scares me when i jump and i hear a normal stargate sound on a wormhole Shocked

Just me or is:

"Map mode soundscape"
the same thing?

It's so groundbraking we had to list it twice. But seriously, it was an editing error, is being fixed, thanks for pointing it out!

You can set the threshold to be wherever you want actually, just like with the other warnings.

guess it could work like the currant warnin notifications for sheild armour and hull wher eyou can set them to a pre-defined % of your choseing.

Edit - son of a B**** beat me to it :-P
