Angel Cartel - Best Drones: Beserkers or Ogres?

Pretty simple question:

I know they are weak to explosive which would suggest Beserker IIs but Ogre IIs do more base dps in thermal. On my ship I get 550 from Ogre IIs but 450dps from Beserker IIs.

Anyone know what the resistance proportions are?

Use berserkers. Even if the resistance difference on some of the Angel ships might be small enough to make Ogres apply more damage after resistances have been factored in (which isn't the case, in my experience), the berserkers' speed is going to push them ahead regardless.

I had forgotten about the speed difference.

This could be even more important when the ai changes come in since there will be more requirement for recalling and redeploying drones. Travel speed could become king.

You'll get the same choice with the sentries : the thermal ones deal more raw dps, but the explosive ones have a much longer range, and are of the right damage type. It'll depend then on how far can your ship target and also your drone control range.
If you have long range drones but can't target that far it's useless Blink

The difference really isn't small enough anyhow. I hacked out some of it here. Bottom line: Angels should get explosive drones. Thermal drones are actually third on the preference list having been edged out by kinetics. For obvious reasons EM drones are even worse than usual here.
