What do you think EvE will be like in 10 years time?

Here are some quick thoughts.

  1. I think Serenity and Tranquility would have merged due to changes in chinese censorship.
  2. We would finally have incrana
  3. T3 BS and Frigs
  4. Jovian space unleashed
  5. New wormhole discovery leading to extra added null space
  6. wormhole stations
  7. Goons dead


Before i thought you quit responses come in, i did quit, for a day! did i ever say how long i was quitting for?

2019, New graphic interface ~ say dx12 (or some new OMG graphics)

2020, Compleat walking in station

2021, Full 3D Enviroment Planet,Stations,ships ect, (200GB+)

2022, Expansion 5000 more Systems Added.
2023, Dev gos into Space ~ cost is cheep Enough that they can go for a weeks trip. 20th anaversary!!!

2024, First Eve Player to get 400 Million SP +

Goons are based on an out of game forum so it is unlikely they will die. However the cycle of eve means they likely won't be the dominant power. It was ASCN then BoB then the original Goonswarm for a brief moment then it was the NC then the DRF now the CFC/HBC conglomeration. It's the way of things.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

This is actually a very interesting question. When we consider that we are rapidly approaching EVE's 10th birthday, a retrospective might also be nice. Go back to the archives and find out what people were saying 10 years ago, what their hopes and aspirations were for themselves and EVE, then get the same input from people now and see how things match up.

I'll be keeping an interested eye on this thread Cool

We'll still have Tippia and others making threads about how people in hisec are stupid and we should take things away from them, which the community will have even less patience for after 19 years of it.

With all the space MMOs coming out EVE will have to adapt or die. If the same tired old bull**** is going on here in just 2 years i'm long gone to play Star Citizen or something.

Not that it isn't good now, but I'd like to see the current improvement trend continue.

Ideally, we'll have DirextX 11 and Tesselation, Proper Starbases, Station environments, Out of Pod Exploration content, Possibly some manner of Starbase environment so Corp meetings don't involve a bunch of ships floating around by a POS and POS spinning.

Not that I don't like POS spinning; it's almost better than ship spinning. Smile

Better Voice and communications channels, and a host of other improvements, including possibly a range of new Tech 3 ships, as well as updated models and graphics for everything up to Titans.Maybe some new space too, and a new means of getting there.

People play MMOs, for the most part to play with others. I swear to God corporations are going to start asking for blood samples for membership in this damn game.

The average noob just does not have the patience for this idiocy. Is that good or bad, w/e. Facts are facts and if they want to grow, they need to figure this crap out. The ONLY thing keeping me in EvE is the fact that I'm a truck driver so the skilling system fits well with my schedule. Someone else who's home every day and has access to tons of other games due to a more forgiving schedule? Pffft...

4) It's only gonna get worse when AWOXing is the only viable form of highsec pvp left---and everybody's in highsec.

Hmm, given the exponential growth of computing power, I extrapolate that... The spaceships will be real. Shocked

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

Eve in 10 years?

Lets see:

-nerf high sec threads all over the place
-null sec hate posts all over the place
-nerf Minmatar threads all over the place
-WH guys threads begging CCP rights to claim WH sovereignty (ho yeah please do this and put gates in between their owned systems, hell yeah !!)
-Dominix will still have his awful design looking
-Proteus will still have that puking plate frog face
-Gallente will still suck
-Chinese players will own goonswarm because they now more about communism than goonswarm (lol this one)
-AAA and NC will own all low sec and gooswarm will be mining in high sec to cover their Tech loss
-mining barges will now be able to be gank with T2 shuttles
-Phoenix will probably get useful Capital Missiles
-drones interface and AI on the list "to do"
-low sec gates will give a passive targeting, speed and dmg bonus to local pirates
-null sec bbles will now reduce your speed for 100% and perma jam your ship/drones with in 50km radius
-Titan and JB range increased to 20LY
-JF's will get a new skill "Natural Cloacking" at lvl5 you can move everywhere no one sees you but it's a little bit buggy and you can't even see it in your hangar, on the list "to fix". They can also jump without cyno in high sec
