Fleet bonuses for commanders

Got a mining fleet going on and here's the composition:

FC - Fleet bonuses only (normal - cool!) [L/W/F: 5/5/3]

WC - Wing bonuses only (not cool!!! Should have fleet too!) [5/5/4]

SC - Squad bonuses only (very not cool!!! Should have wing and fleet!!!) [5/0/0]
9x squad members - Fleet, wing, and squad bonuses (awesome as it should be)

SC - Squad bonuses only ( :( ) [3/0/0]
1x squad member - Fleet, wing, and squad bonuses =)



With the commanders not getting the above commanders bonuses...who is gonna want to be a commander? Shouldn't it be spread throughout? I've read on all the wiki's that it is...but, in game, the little check mark for my commanders is only showing their own bonuses are being applied...not that they are also getting the bonuses. Is there a new way to see what bonuses they are getting?

Please help! Thank you!

Surely someone has some input and would like to have ccp fix this??? Or, am I the only one that cares about this?

I believe someone said that if you fit a fleet as fleet command that has structure cascaded down, and noone is commanding each wing/squad , with only the FC at the top, the bonuses do not trickle down. Don't know if its a bug or if its intended.

Thanks for the response Hazen, but with the op, it shows that every position is filled and every person that fills it has the qualifications to be in that position to not only pass on but, receive the bonuses also.

Ah sorry Brrssa, read your OP more carefully, I see your point.

Possibly raise a bug report? That way they will look at it an assess whether it is a defect or not. If it's a defect, it will get fixed, if not, they will give you an explanation and close the case. Either that, or wait for a possible DEV post on this thread.

Wing commanders not getting FC bonuses has been broken forever.

However squad commanders should get both WC and FC bonuses unless ccp has broken it even more past few days. Or other explanation could be it's only broken with mining bonuses as I don't mine.

Did you actually check the bonuses from module tooltip or fittings->show info? That bonus indicator in fleet window shows randomly whatever it likes, even if the bonuses are actually working. It's not that rare to get "can't support squad off this size" with FC5 toon in fleet window...
