Setup for C5 Sites?

Good day,
We've got a wormhole fleet running (C3); our current setup is:
Dominix with Remote-Repairers, 2 Tengus and one Legion.
Works fine, but C5-sites are impossible with this setup.

How many/what ships do we need for C5 sites?
We've got some capitalships in stock, but we're afraid of loosing them in a split second.

Any advice?

Minimum to do C5 sites and make a worthwhile amount from them would be 1 carrier and 5+ decently fit battleships with long range high dps projection i.e. abaddons. Ideally you want to be able to do all 4 escalation waves but we pretty much started at 1 chimera 7-10 tengus in a C5 pulsar and pretty quickly had enough ISK from it to kit ourselves out properly and cover any potentially losses to getting ganked.

PS That thread linked to by Jack Miton and a couple of others he started on the subject are tried and tested methods and well worth taking note of everything he says on the subject - my only reservation (tho he does have more than one thread on the subject to cover this a bit and may have covered it more since last time I read through them) is that a lot of his posts are from the perspective of someone with a lot of experience and skill in what hes posting about - someone just starting out with C5 sites may find hes not giving enough of a safety net in the practises hes talking about if they aren't familiar with running C5 sites - doesn't take long to get upto speed but first few times might want to go a bit more cautiously - if you under-estimate them sleeper guardian waves can very easily wipe out a cap fleet.

If doing them in your home system, the quickest and safest method is to use Moroses for DPS, Archon for logi and Vigilant/Ashimmu webbers to ensure that the dreads will hit. Sites can be run with just 3 people if you really must, but it really goes a whole lot faster if you add more webbers as well as dreads and possibly a second carrier for logistics (archon preferred, thanny works too). If you're not finishing the site due to wanting to escalate them on another day just add your choice of jamming boat such as the falcon, scorpion or ecm tengu so that you can salvage them safely. If you don't have a jammer available at the time, you could just as well use a legion for salvaging on the go, with the archon doing the repairs it'll easily tank whatever the escalations can thow at it.

If doing them in your static, a single dread coupled with guardians for logistics duty, vigilants/ashimmus for webbing and you're rocking again. Can add something like the legions for subcap dps if you really want to but all in all they provide very little. As long as the vigilants and ashimmus keep webbing things down with the 90% webs, there will be nothing that the moros couldn't blap, including possible hostile fleet landing on you when site running.

For both cases you will want a perfect armor booster as well as at least half decent skirmish boosts as the fleets efficiency is heavily depending on things being webbed at all times.

there's a carrier + BS version around too if youre not ready for full caps yet.

If your low on people and just raiding C5 sites you can do it with 3 RR tengus. Not the most efficient setup but you'll still rack in the isk/hr. You'll need 4 for the harder sites but aslong as you know your triggers its easy as pie.

this is all before the upcoming missile nerf so take it with a grain of salt come patch

The absolute minimum is 4 - 5 remote rep tengus they get 110 - 130 k range with the right sub, this however may not be true after the expansion.

But you wont be able to do the mag's and radars and it will take you like 25 minutes a site which is kind of **** poor.

But if you can get it down to 4 people to run C5 anomalies they are rather profitable that makes the 25 minute time to run a site not that bad.

You can also do it with 3 remote rep battleships. It's slow, but you can run every c5 site with them. You'd probably make better ISK/h in a c3 with Tengus though.

4 RR tengus is pretty risky tho doable on getting neuted out (even without escalation waves) and very slow breaking the spider reps on sites that have that and I'd imagine most people would make better ISK/h in a C4 or farming a C3 static with the same setup.

By adding a carrier you put up another half site or so worth of loot every time you escalate which is why I consider it the minimum to be worthwhile for most people.
