Hi, so after year of afk decided to return to eve wich is not have been easy so far.

I have HP envy laptop with:
cpu intel i5
4gb RAM
hybrid gpu intel hd and amd radeon 6630

Running windows 7 x64 fully updated and using eset smart security.

Downloaded the client installed pretty normal to this point, logged in and everything works but it lags and is unplayable quick look on the settings and it looks like the game runs on my power saving GPU as this is hybrid gpu laptop.

I try to change the gpu settings but it does not wanna change that or does not offer option to use my power GPU amd/ati gpu. I think i need to activate it from windows settings. Shutting down the game takes me to acid trip! Shocked
Srsly to colors on screen are like here!

After checking that walls are not melting and reboot windows starting up takes forever and this comes up from taskbar better viewed from logs.

And now eve won't start it just hangs up can't ctrl+alt+del or anything, forced reboot with power button is needed.
Played some other games earlier just fine.

1- did you tried any other game after that (i.e. reboot, launch another game, does it work?
2- check you are using latest available drivers for your GPU
3- ensure you have the latest updates on windows
4- maybe try runing a few stress tests on your comp to ensure your system is stable and does not encounter any overheating issue (might be a problem cause if i'm no wrong, the Envy brand is a really thin laptop, so heat dissipation could be critical on this one during intensive use)

Kinda solved this. Shocked

I did have hdd image backup only couple day's old, so rerolled to that and started eve install again.
The Windows error did not occur again, but graphics did not work eve would start only with intel graphics and not with the higher end gpu.

GPU drivers where outdated since this is laptop and only manufacturer can provide those and the standard package from amd cannot be installed.

Manufacturer did offer newer drivers for Windows 8. I did jump on to windows 8 and all works fine now.

Conclusion old gpu drivers for hp envy 14-2080eo win 7 X
