Yeah, I noticed. But loosing a multi billion isk Raven in lowsec PVE is pure stupidity anyhow. Regardless of whether you loose it to pirates or NPCs. In fact, the only time one can ever excuse a loss like that is if the enemy has laid out a trap in advance. And by trap I mean trap, not gatecamp. For instance scanning down a lowsec plex, waiting for someone to come trying to solo it.

It's not stupidity at all, it's a learning experience. Or do you expect everyone to know every single thing about the game straight away?

So I lost a few ships, it's hardly the end of the World.

Lol, hitting that nail straight on the head are we? xD I couldn't agree more with this post though, because it's so damn true. The CNR is a better ship, period, there's nothing to even discuss. There is nothing the SNI can do that the Golem or CNR can't do better, except overtanking of course.

But you live and learn. At least they weren't NPC losses - imagine the shame! Blink

Bah. I lost my first Orca in low sec, moving stuff through. Pissing in the wind about someone losing a ship in low sec or 0.0 in a game like EVE, is like trying to laugh at a fish for getting eaten in the ocean. Its EVE, not everyone insists on only flying overly cheap ships, and sometimes people get caught in something expensive.

That has nothing to do with the 3 ships in L4 pve comparisons this thread started with. So please, don't derail it. Keep it on subject, and take this seemingly recurring flame war you are having to a more private forum. Big smile

I fly multi billion isk ships in lowsec and nullsec every single day, my entire blue list consists of something like 25-30 people and none of them live anywhere close to where I do atm. So I always fly in hostile territory. I often to plexes, and missions in hostile lowsec systems and I've been doing that for about a year straight now. Never loosing a single combat ship and coming close only a handful of times. And then to login traps and unexpeded meetings with roaming gangs on gates.

Now, looking at those killmails, they're recent. Only a couple of months old. And it's from a pilot that has over a year of experience previous to that. Fair enough, he's was a newbie two months ago, but he also still is. He doesn't have a clue about fitting nor does he have a clue about what ships are good or not. And in fact, the core of the problem is that he's too inexperienced to see that for himself.

And calling a fraud out for what he is, thats only fair.

Lol, I'm fairly certain the fake char is there just too avoid just that. I'm actually more inclined to believe a post like that when made by an alt-char then I would be if it was made by a main. Because it would be hard to believe anyone dumb enough to post that they fly super expensive ships in low and null on this forum would be smart enough to keep them alive.

SNI can project damage better than a CNR. See something the stat monkeys and EFT gurus continue to omit is real world damage application/projection. Paper != real DPS.

SNI can get on more painters and therefore, projects damage better to everything not BS sized. L4 don't have that high a percentage of BS sized targets.

Just wait until the TE mods for missiles comes in and the difference will be even more profound as the SNI will be able to drop more tank to get those in. CNR just doesnt have the space.

Golem is a different beast but the SNI and CNR are, pretty much, down to aesthetic preference.
