Standings options in the overview filter

Hey there!

I've got a little question for ya since I'm quite unsure about this :/
In the filter of the overview-settings you have the following options:

[ ] Pilot has excellent standing
[ ] Pilot has good standing
[ ] Pilot has neutral standing
[ ] Pilot has bad standing
[ ] Pilot has terrible standing
[ ] Pilot has no standing

Am I understanding this correct that options 1-5 are only showing an entry in the overview if the pilot is in my contact list (regardless of the specific standing)? Or is there more to it like derived contact from corp/ally?

Also is it correct that the 6th option shows me entries in the overview if the subject is not in my contact list (and not due to derivation of corp/ally)?

Hope I made somehow clear what I want to know :o

Thanks and fly safe!

With 1 ticked pilots that have a derived excellent standing (so yours, your corp's or alliance's standing) will show.
With 2 ticked pilots that have a derived good standings will show...
etc. etc. etc.

With no standings, everybody will just show that isn't on any list...

Yes.
Yes. To clarify :
If option 1-5 is checked then :

If Pilot has no standing IS NOT checked then you will ONLY see those people you have standing with AND are also a contact.

If Pilot has no standing IS checked also then you will see anyone you have standing with, regardless if they are a contact of yours or not, AND everyone who is NOT a contact that you that you do NOT have standing with.

The Pilot has no standing setting was introduced with Incarna january last year and has been a pain in the rear ever since.
The logical old setup would regard no standings as neutral standings and completely ignore contact book, but sadly someone decided to get 'clever'.
So no standing really means 'is not a contact'.

Yes, see above.

Because of this, it is NOT possible to make a blue-only filter with no 'no standing neutrals' in it without excluding all your allies that have positive standing with you but are not in your contact book

To summarize, unless you REALLY only want to see people on your contact list always check Pilot has no standing and learn to live with neutrals on all your overview filters.
