I'd be interested in this, had it been Dark Ages rather than WoD.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Disk space is so cheap these days, that I've got games like bloodlines and deus ex permanently installed and ready to go.

Bloodlines MAY be my favorite RPG of all time. It's that, Planescape: Torment, and Chrono Trigger all in a big pile at the top.

Planescape: Torment has propably the best story/characters and is one of my favorites too. The actual gameplay was sort of crappy though. Bloodlines has similarly a good story and great characters, but the actual gameplay isn't all that good. Both are games that are great despite the shortcomings in the gameplay and are still very enjoyable.

I played chrono trigger(SNES version) a year or two ago and it was a well made console RPG with some interesting story twists. I liked it and it's definitely one of the best jap RPGs I've ever played.

I think my favorite company produced RPG is still the baldur's gate trilogy, but that is mainly because it's a trilogy. It's an extremely long and satisfying journey from a pitiful weakling to someone with a real chance of achieving Godhood, and by the time the story ends your companions are truly dear to you. The end also nicely wraps up everything and is satisfying enough, that you don't feel cheated or that your choices along the way didn't matter.

The first and only one that exists as far as I'm concerned. Evil I was hoping it could be another BG trilogy or something close to it, but instead BW decided to drag it through mud and drown it in a puddle. Haven't bought a BW game since.

I don't see what everyone hated about DA2. It was obviously inferior, gameplay wise, to DA1, but it was still better than most other RPGs.

It was kinda enjoyable.... but It had to be compared to the first one... and when you do that well.... you're not left with much Sad

I agree, it's about expectations. DA1 was great so you set a high bar for DA2 and when it didn't come close that same quality level it left a bitter taste of disappointment. Which makes it hard to judge it on it's own merits, rather you judge it on what it lacked from what you were expecting.

I don't intend to bother with DA3 myself, the EA controlled Bioware machine took my last dime with ME3. But lets not pick at that scab..

Loved playing The Masquerade - Bloodlines, especially the haunted beach front hotel :D And arguing with signposts as a Malkavian.

Best convo's in Bloodlines was being a Malk.

Awesome game, one of the few I have played from beginning to end more than once. It's good to hear that WOD is still in production. I'm looking forward to it. Bloodlines was definitely a game that was ahead of the tech at the time. This became evident when I used the exact same install file on my new system and didn't get any graphical bugs where as I got lots on my old system.

And as stated, there was a video at FF-12 indicating that the WoD devs might actually exist, or it was just another scarlet member of the Clupeidae family.

I believe devs belong more in the Petromyzontidae family ... Twisted ... or their masters anyway ...
