Life after Goonswarm?

i started to play in late 05 made this char in 06 so i have no clue what this game would be like without goons... but hell there is test now... so everything would be A OK...
At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

Love them or hate them, Goons have been a predominant part of EVE for a while now. They're one of the main reasons CCP gets as much publicity as they do. I am strongly against a CCP-induced removal of Goons, they are an integral part of the experience - a clear group of bad guys in a world which isn't just black and white.

Goons aren't the only offenders, we'd need a total removal of the cultural elitists - TEST and Goonswarm would need to be completely wiped off of the map.

The goons are not usual griefers operating solely on in game mechanics. They have built entire scamming infrastructure to facilitate their need to grief and dissapoint. http://www.goonfleet.net and a variety of "alliance rental" applications are constantly being used and updated to grief - it would be hard to find another group of players to do what the goons are doing. On the other hand, TEST alliance have "borrowed" some of these techniques and are now including such infrastructures in their network.


"Scamming infrastructure"? I could build that website in a day, especially considering how ALL OF THE ART is recycled.

Nothing changes. You continue to play EVE.

I just don't understand null sec players.

as long as there are players/sov/peeps to shoot in eve. there will always be player driven content goons or no goons.

TBH there is nothing wrong with the goons... its the game mechanics...

They use them to thier advantage... if you dont well... sucks to be you...

It's kind of interesting to me.

I don't post on our forums often, but I do read them. Whenever a goon scams someone, they usually post it on the forums. All this insinuation that we're responcible for all the scamming in EVE is strange considering how little it seems that goons actually do it.

I guess the hundred people I have blocked on my alt from Jita local are all goons?

Entire corporations being robbed were all goon alts doing it. I had no idea.



So basically, we do all the bad stuff in EVE? I only assume we're doing it in disquise to make our publicity attempts more credible? Do have this right?

Yes you are right, but you are the largest affiliated group of players who endorse scamming as a corporation past-time. I forgot the numbers, maybe TEST are these days, eh?
