For hig sec mining I use 3 hulks and an orca in the belt. I load from the hulks to the orca. Once the orca is full, I put the hulk in a ship bay and swap to a mac that I haul the orca empty in a few trips and back to the hulk. that way the orca never leaves the belt and continues to boost. You can of course sub the mack to non frieghter hauler of choice

I don't understand why you would do this.... Seriously, why?

Assuming the Mackinaw takes 5 trips to haul an orca load of ore ((40,000 + 50,00 + 80,000) / 35,000) means you're missing out on like 5 - 10 cycles worth of mining.

The orca can continue boosts while it dumps in the same system, but even if it couldn't the yield lost from boosts would only come out to less then 1 cycle of mining for 1 ship, maybe 2 cycles if you had really bad timing.

agreed, 5 trips with a mack vs 1 with an orca. insantiy.
