Killed arriving at gate from warp?

Smartbomb Pirates can only kill you if you are in a ship they can alpha. And it is very easy to Smartbomb a ship coming out of warp. I mean, they see you coming all the way in.

Warp acceleration is such bullox in this game.

Ive seen this before its was a smartbombing bs on gate. My main ( main baned from forums right now love haveing more then one account ) has seen this with frigs had ten in fleet we warp at diffent times me and 2 other pilots made it though the gate but our other 7 friends got poped on the gate do to a smartbombing bs. I got lucky i some how warp in after the first volley so i got lucky. the 2nd you come out of warp and the volley hit you done for unless you have high res and hp. Welcome to low sec and gate bombing.

You could probably try tanking it a bit better. To put it bluntly, your fit is terrible.

I have a friend who is a hotshot Wolf pilot, who engaged someone flashy on the Amamake gate. Of course, they hotdropped on her.

They hotdropped her with an Erebus.

Needless to say that attempting to kill a single frigate with an Erebus did not work and she simply flew around it in a circle and then warped away.

They are also stabbed to the max. The only way to catch them is a Heavy Dictor with scripts loaded. You also have to have a heavy dictor on both sides of the gate. They are annoying and a pain in the ass to catch.

best advice:

Stop going into low with a mammoth and go with either:

a merlin or frig with around 8-10k ehp

a cloaky hauler

otherwise you will get smartbombed or pointed.

My point is, he could at least fit it to tank something. The fittings he currently has are just a waste of isk because he might as well leave all those slots empty except for the 2 cargo expanders.

The same hing happened to me i think in the 1st of 2nd month after i started playing.
Since then i have Rancer on my avoid list :))

The guys from Negative Ten are pretty nice...
I got some good advice from them after the fact :)

Didnt read every post so might have been answered... but

It is called a smartbombing BS. And they work wonders for killing low ehp ships.

It is simple really. You place the bs about 10km from the gate inline with another gate spam your dscan etc etc

Being a smartass is always better than being a dumbass!

Yah just confirming smartbomb camp. Sucks... not much you can do about that one. It takes a lot of people to set up right, and it's kind of a one-tactic setup, but it happens. Lost a well tanked crane to one of those one time. I was sitting there trying to figure out wtf happened for a while too. Then I looked at the killmail. Big smile
