Your Last Meal

Imagine for whatever reason, you're going to die the next day. Maybe you're on Death Row, or an alternate WWI where you're charge the enemy trenches the next day, albeit with fantastic catering the night before. And you can have one last meal.

Mine...

  • Tenderloin steak, medium rare
  • Two eggs, overeasy (to dip the steak in the yolk)
  • Four strips of streaky bacon
  • Four slices of back bacon
  • County-fried steak, with white gravy
  • A hooker of Hollandaise sauce (for the egg whites and back bacon)
  • Three pints of Grain Belt lager

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...

I think I'd just continuously down Zebra Cakes, Swiss Roles, Bacon, Butterfingers, and pizza.

I think a nice tuna salad would be nice. It's light, but fulfilling and tastes great with proper seasoning. Eating heavily in the late evening has never agreed with my digestive system and makes it hard to fall asleep, so I'd want to avoid that.

Ahi poke for starters, then a swordfish steak in ginger and black sesame marinade with brown rice, followed by a small plate of bincho and saba nigiri, and finally a generous portion of tiramisu for dessert.

Top it off with some Hine cognac, any prestige variety.

A toss up between my mums home cooking, probably her sunday roast or:

Starter

A large helping of breaded mushrooms served with garlic mayo and a side of whitebait with brown bread and butter.

Main course

A nice big t bone or ribeye steak. Baked potato, onion rings and another side of breaded mushrooms and corn on the cobb.

Pudding

Either coconut ice cream with a slice of coconut cream pie or black forest gateaux with cream.

For the drinks, start with a few nice bottles of Cobra beer (I love that stuff). A good dessert wine and then maybe a few glasses of neat rum on the rocks.

If I have the option of being really obnoxious:

A Chinese antique egg made from an egg from today. That should buy me another 30-40 years of life! And a bottle of 2099 Bordeaux.

Whatever i decide i want to throw in the face of those killing me. I'd really have to see them to know what needs to be thrown at them.

Eating has always felt like a chore to me, so unless i was starving i wouldn't regret it.

Something that would moderately poison me so that I wasn't healthy enough to be executed or charge WWI machine gun nests.

(In the US, we nurse sick prisoners back to health before executing them.)

Country Fried Steak, Deep-fried battered bacon wrapped hotdogs, 2lbs of curly fries topped with redhot chili and cheese, 1 gallon of country gravy with extra pepper, 1 loaf of french bread dripping with butter, and a diet coke.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

roast beef with yorkshire puds ,roast tatties beef gravy,roast parsnips, cauliflower,carrots, and some horse raddish and mintsauce...
