On the star map, add the filters for "number of suspects in the past hour" and "number of criminals". It might spice up bounties a little

The Ability to place BM's on the overview.

The Ability to restrict corp mail via roles, or failing that prevent people from using corp mail by other means (temp corp mail ban or something)

Drones have 2-3 words for there description where everything else has a lengthier description of a line or two. It appears once the drones were put into the game, no one got around to finishing the lore for them. Perhaps something about the race and or damage types they do could be added along with development and or history.

- Remove non-ship BPCs from commander structure/ship loot table in combat exploration sites. Make them only found in radar/mag. Or better yet, just mags.

- Add mindlinks to loot table for commander structure/ship in unrated combat exploration sites. Mining mindlink only dropped in drone sites, shield in guristas, skirmish angels, etc.

In a fleet when someone makes an armour or shield request I think it would be nice to have the EHP bars for that character shown in the fleet broadcast window next to the players name much like the watchlist or drone window shows EHP bars.

I think this makes sense because if you where transmiting a request for repairs you would also include the information as to your current health status.

The watch list would benifit from the ability to either colour the background of each person in your watchlist or add dividers to the list.

I would use the colour or divider to seperate players varying roles into groups.

I know you can drag entries but some kind of grouping would be great.

under POS interface->production->list of reactors. Being able to drag and drop/sort the list of reactors and siloes..

When running muliple reactions on a pos it's not pleasing to the eye that silo 1 is at the bottum and second silo one is at the top, third is in the middle, 4,5,6,7 etc etc is randomly placed.

And why can't I modify a corp-mates corp sell orders as CEO/Director? It's quite annoying that the same character has to fly to trade hubs all the time and we can't split that burden on all members when they pass through anyway ( update prices, cancel orders an so forth). Please fix that.. please

"pause skill training on all other characters?"


instead of


"char A is currently training Skill A, please log out, log in to Char A, stop dkill, log out, log in, start skill."

A bit of a weird one that has been bothermig me quite much.

Do something with the drone with longer names. I have a quite small drone window, this is normally not a problem, but when i'm using Federation Navy Gardes i have to make my drone control panel very wide to be able to see what my drones are doing.

This is because there is not enough room after the name of the drone to see what it's doing (fighting, returning or reconnecting) because of the long name...

Example:

Garde II (fighting) [HP bar]

Federation Navy Garde (Fighting) [HP bar]

What i can see:

Garde II (Fighting) [HP bar]

Federation Navy Garde ( [HP bar]


I imagine this also happen for other faction drones and for other people with slim Drone UI and long-named drone (like hammerhead II)

The ability to properly add corp and alliance standings against the four militia Factions from faction warfare. This would be handy when flying mixed fleets of faction warfare members and non- faction warfare members.

It would be great if Bookmarks would become visible in space, if you mouseover them.
So that you can see which one of your 1000 bms is closer to the enemy.

So, awhile ago the Ore holds were introduced on mining ships.

Which is great and all. but it also introduced a minor problem in that when doing mining missions the agent does not accept the ore from the ore hold.

in order to be able to complete the mission you need to move the ore to your hanger in the station first.

When doing security missions that require items, the required items are detected even inside the hold of ships.

Alliance wide bookmarks.

Toggleable view of bookmarks in system view (turn off alliance / corp / personal)

Ability to turn of all tags whilst scanning (so you can just move the probes without seeing all the tags from moons etc)

Customisable personal / corp / alliance bookmarks (little check box to choose whether to display in quick menu or not)

Fixed order of bookmarks - bookmarks can be sorted and ordered according to preference and not just alphabet or random.

Allow folders within folders for bookmarks.

I have a small niggle about the UI.

When the "optimize route" option was moved to the new interactive info panel (great work on that by the way!), I really had trouble finding it again. I'd say it took me 2 minutes of searching, and I'm an Eve player since '05. I think the problem was that the unassuming flat button had an "A" displayed on it (A for autopilot), so the info panel looked to say "A Destination". I was actually right clicking all around the info panel looking for the elusive optimize route function, but I never thought to click that letter "A", because our minds naturally tune out words like "A, The" etc.

What I'm trying to say is that there are probably many players who have been playing weeks and never though to click in that spot. Flat buttons like that (and the character portrait menu in the upper left) need some sort of emphasis placed on them, or you will invariably have a % of players who will be unaware of their existence for far too long. Whether it's a more vibrant mousover effect, or a border, or a little 10x10 pixel indicator that says "this is a button!", I'm not sure, but there needs to be something more, especially as all indicators point to more flat buttons being added to the UI in the future.

I can't help but think that doing some in house user testing would help catch situations like this. For example, bring a casual player in, or someone fresh out of the tutorial, tell them to "optimize the waypoint route", and watch exactly how they go about it. Eve's overhauled UI is far easier to work with, far more elegant, and simplified in a good way, but it lacks some intuitiveness that can only come from iterative play testing. Maybe hire someone who specialized in user tests, eye tracking, etc. It's already an extremely important part of web design in any case where user retention is a concern. I have a feeling spending a bit more time following these design principles would directly translate to player retention as well.

(overall the UI is vastly improving though!)
