Is there an actual schedule you guys normally try to adhere to with Buckingham? I notice that the downtime notices state that it will be 1 hour but it almost never is 1 hour. Just wondering so I'm not refreshing eve-offline for 5 hours.

There isn't a schedule as such, there is an hourly daily downtime (forget the actual times though) but its brought down as and when needed really.

So out of curiosity... Why do you schedule the auto downtime for times when your offices are closed when the servers fail to restart themselves so frequently?

That is because testing servers are provided by CCP as a privilege, not a right. Your subscription costs only allow for TQ. Plus TQ is constantly monitored because it is the production server. Testing servers are instead used mostly for bug hunting and for player testing of mechanics. So it is not as imperative for them to be up as often as TQ. Besides, the Devs who run the test servers are normally given the task alongside their other duties, so they aren't always able to get to stuff immediately.

Fixed that post for you.
Read threads before you talk. I was simply inquiring as to why they set it for 4 AMish Icelandic time rather than 9 or 10 when they can turn it back on should something go wrong during the start up process which they indicated happens frequently.

I did not ask about them monitoring the test server, nor did I ask about Tranquility NOR did I dispute what my subscription costs give me access to and what they don't. I also didn't dispute whether the devs have more important things to do at any given moment. I am well aware of how insignificant the test servers are in that respect. However, that does not mean I am not allowed to ask a question that is perfectly valid.

Try reading before running your mouth next time lest you look like a moron again. Roll

Roll I didn't say your question was invalid, nor was I running my mouth, I was simply explaining why CCP doesn't put so much effort into keeping the test servers online as often as possible compared to TQ. Sure I would love the Test Servers to be started on time or at least kept to a consistent schedule, but such is life I guess.
