Navy battlegroups, actually, if I remember correctly some of the reports I have heard of, and a few of the missions I have been offered in the past.

I am sorry to hear so. While it would be far from me to claim that there are no prejudices or suspicions against the Nefantar in general, I think your recent history of being an active Holder remaining loyal to the Empire during the uprising in the Mandate and your role in the war zone are not irrelevant to the reactions you evoked. So I'm not sure how much of that is racism as such, and how much of it is a reaction to your actions. Considering your recent actions, this will hopefully improve over time.

Oh of course, that is quite specific and mostly aimed to "cultural enemies".

Actually, I was no Holder at that time, just the usual runaway child, when I entered the Republic Military School. I mostly refered to these years in particular, when I had the opportunity to visit the Republic for the first time.

And you've lived in the Republic and been a member of a clan and tribe for how long Farel? Oh, the answer to both parts of that question is "never", therefore, you have as much authority on tribal politics and life as would a child when asked to explain nuclear physics. Unlike your blind allegiance to the Imperial government, we hold no such absolute allegiance to our clan or tribal leaders. We give them a great deal of respect and deference, yes. However, if a majority of the governed feel that the leader is no longer serving the needs of the whole, they can and will be removed. If you doubt this just look to the Chief of my own tribe, former Prime Minister Karin Midular.

As to your assertion of rampant racism within the Republic I say hogwash. We don't have much good to say about the Amarr or their lackeys, quite true, but among those who remained true to our people during and after the occupation you'll find very little dispute. Competition, yes; hatred, no. I work alongside and have very good relations with Brutor, Vherokior and Thukker. If I knew any Starkmanir (or Nefantar who remained loyal) I'm sure we'd get along quite well. In case you weren't aware we even have Amarrians within EM and I most certainly don't disrespect, or treat them poorly because of their ethnicity. The reason you were treated badly had more to do with the fact that you took up arms against the Republic and less with the fact that you were born in the Mandate. Given your change in affiliation and generally progressive views, however, I imagine that given enough time peoples' opinions of you will change.

Uh, why so rude ?

Still, let me clarify several points out of your ill-tempered drivel :

- I have no allegiance to the Imperial government, and even less a blind one.

- I have seen how tribes work. I am maybe not a native, but I am not... blind, yes, actually. Do not even try to make people believe that everything is fine and shiny in the Republic, because it is not.

- Of course bad leaders can be removed if they are particularily bad or hated. It is not a thing proper to the Republic, unlike you seem to want it to be, but to the human society in general. Be it in a theological monarchy or in a federal democracy, the people rules, and it will always be the case. You can not go against the power of the masses, if they really want it. And by the way, the appreciation of what Karin Midular did varies greatly depending on the people you talk to. You can not hold for granted that she was a bad leader. I personnally think (but that is only my opinion), that she was actually a great one destined to a tragic destiny. Oh yes, and I also remember pretty well how bloody that removal of her status was.

- I do not care of the specific examples you can tell me about, they are as much as irrelevant as mine (that are the opposite considering the life I lived in the Republic), because you can not make them generalities. What I said was merely that hatred of enemies, even if unreasonned, is still very ingrained in the Republic society. You just have to see how the masses treat with believers of the Amarrian Faith, or how they act with some of the Voluval tattoos. As much as the Empire, the State or the Federation, you have work to do, and you would do well to acknowledge that sooner or later, for your own intellectual sake.

- As I said above, the reason why I was treated badly has nothing to do with me taking arms against republican aggression fleets in Devoid and the Bleak Lands, or even unaffiliated terrorists like U'K in Providence before, for the simple reason that I had yet to do all of that when I was merely studying in the Republic. The actual reason was my very ammatar origin, coupled with a more general one that you will find with a lot of people : people being unhappy enough in their lifes and thus feeling the need to find scapegoats (people being different) to make their life feel better in comparison by bullying them, especially when they think to act in a patriotic way, which is a very poor excuse.

*Arkady Sadik nods*

I won't claim that there is no negative racism in the Republic - especially against Ammatar. And I am sorry your time here was not pleasant. I do hope the situation will improve over time when people can learn that some Nefantar have indeed changed.

I am confident it will improve.
